Worst car rental company of all time..I rented a car from them and when I get there the car i rented wasn't available so they gave me a car with 60k miles and dents and scratches on every panel..Then when I returned the car 5 days later I never got a final rental agreement receipt..So they charged me 200.00 for deposit and as of today which is almost a full month from rental time I have not received my 200.00 deposit..I've called headquarters and email them and they just ignore me..I guess an attorney is in my future..Just a warning for others, do not rent from them..They are all total liars especially Nadia Eliaz at the Orlando branch..No more inexpensive car rentals for me..They screw you to no end..I hope that I can help potential renters in the future..
DO NOT!! This place was an absolute racket. Our flight was delayed and they close at SIX. We had to come back the next day. Called ahead to make sure my husband could pick up the car - they said no problem, then he got there and they said no, we now have to pay to add him to the booking. Then they tell us insurance is compulsory- after we had already paid and couldn’t get a refund, so we ended up paying FOUR TIMES the original price. Don’t do it.
They don’t deserve one star, but I cannot find 0 Star. This company is a big scam, please AVOID!!! We had a over 10 days reservation and traveling with a 10 month old baby. We called when we were at Denver airport to confirm our car pickup. After more than 30 minutes waiting for shuttle, and another 15 minutes ride, we arrived the car rental place and they told us they HAVE NO CAR FOR US and our reservation was cancelled. After waiting another 1 hour there, they cannot find car for us and we had to find a new car rental. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE. Please don’r ever use this company. They should SHUT DOWN their business since they cannot provide customer cars with existing reservation.
Unlike many other negative reviewers, I have had a great experience so far with York car rental.This is mostly due to Ingrid's prompt response to my phone call and very helpful replies to my questions. She was cheerful, postive and quickly found answers and suggestions.I booked the vehicle through Priceline, so hopefully this positive experience will continue when I pick up the car.
Worst rental experience I have ever had. We paid the rental in full months before arriving to the airport. Once we get to the counter my car was not available so they mentioned I would have to wait 5 hours or pay for an upgrade. Also told me because I arrived earlier than expected I had to pay for an extra day being my flight out would be a few hours later on the day I was supposed to bring it back. They charged my card at arrival over $800 with the deposit and new charges on top of the $280 I spent for the rental. When we returned the car no one was there, the office was closed, no shuttle was available. We had to pay for an uber to get to the airport on time. They kept $364.16 of my deposit and when I called to ask them, they were very rude saying I needed to email support because the office was closed, they charged another day at that price is insane. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. DEFINTLY A SCAM!
Staff friendly and helpful. The airport shuttles you to rental car place then you call them to come get you and pick up your car from their lot. Problem was with the credit card hold! 7-10 business days I was quoted and 20 days later they refunded my $250! Needless to say finance charges happened due to this! Not cool there is no reason for that long of a hold on a deposit.
It was awful they charged my card 83 dollars for two days of insurance when I did not need it I have my own ! The shuttle never came and I had to take a taxi 15 from airport to a very sketchy neighborhood ! Pay lil extra go with a bigger name car rental !
Miami, FL Location: I wish I could give zero stars. I should've known it was going to be a disaster when I had to wait over an hour just to get some assistance because there was only one employee at the counter, and he was completely unhelpful. He couldn’t explain their own policies and seemed clueless about basic questions. I ended up cancelling my reservation and losing my money because it was so unreal. On top of that, they required a $1,000 deposit whether or not you purchased their insurance, which makes no sense. This was never communicated upfront, and when I asked for clarification, I got vague, unhelpful answers. The entire experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and rent from a company that actually values its customers and is transparent with their policies. Would never use them again!
