I payed for a rental for pickup at Krakow Głowny location. There was no signage, no pickup parking stall, no office. I could not get a hold of a carwiz agent through the website as I was running half an hour late and could not find the pickup location. When I finally got though to an agent, they had given car away. They would not reimburse me for the payed and reserved car. I was left stranded. Worst service.Update: October 2025: While Carwiz has promised to reach out to me to resolve the issue, they have not, and in fact continued through arbitration to force me to pay. Please save your money and rent a vehicle from someone else.
Wroclaw Airport- I have used Carwiz a few times in the past as as well as recently and I have to say that every time the Customer Service at the airport was very friendly with prompt responses on the emails as well. It was easy to use, everything was spelled out in the contract and repeated to me by the Customer Service without any hidden tricks. A very pleasant experience. Agnieszka E
Avoid This Company at All Costs – Unfair, Dishonest, and UnresponsiveI wish I had read the reviews before renting from this company. Absolutely avoid them.We hired a car and received no check sheet, no inspection report, and no walk-around to record existing damage. I had to take my own pictures and videos of the car from every angle at pickup and again at drop-off to protect myself.The next day, they emailed us claiming there was a tiny dent, providing a blurry picture with no registration number or proof that it was even our car. We immediately asked for clearer evidence, more photos, and documentation — but they completely ignored all of our requests.We then sent our own photos and videos, clearly showing the area they claimed was damaged was in perfect condition when we returned it. Still, they went silent.Without any further communication, they deducted €420 from our deposit on day two.This is outrageous, unfair, and feels like a scam designed to target tourists. They ignored our evidence, avoided communication, and charged us anyway.Do not trust this company.They should be investigated and shut down. What they’re doing is unethical and takes advantage of genuine customers who follow the rules.
Absolutely terrible company who I will never use again. I booked a vehicle with them and on returning clean, fuelled with no damage, they took money from my credit card for existing damage. I contacted them and exchanged multiple emails showing that the damage was there on my original paperwork, but they ignored this. The only way I got my money back was by raising a dispute through my credit card company who immediately agreed with me and refunded the transaction. I have rented hundreds of cars through work and personally and never has as terrible an experience.Please avoid this company at all costs as my experience of them was dreadful.
Scam alert: DO NOT RENT FROM CARWIZ. We had the worst car rental experience ever with Carwiz in Warsaw (and we have rented in many countries, as well as, in Poland previously with zero problems). Pick up was unpleasant due to difficulty in reaching the agent by phone. We were brought to an off-site sketchy location where we were given a car with scratches, dents and a window chip. We were reassured this was all recorded and we would be provided with a copy of all pre-existing damages. When we needed to drop off the car in Krakow at 4pm, we called the provided # and couldn't reach anyone for an hour. After many attempts at calling various numbers, we reached an agent at another location and arranged for drop off at 7pm, as they said they were busy and needed more notice to meet us at the parking lot downtown Krakow near the bus station (their designated drop off location). The agent took the car to wash and said he'd email us right away with confirmation of pickup and refund of deposit.Instead, we received a new bill for "damages" in the form of a couple scratches which were fabricated by the agency. We had parked the car away from others and had no incidents that would cause any damage. We were charged $1500 and no one replied to my calls and emails when I tried to contact them. Once I delved into the internet, I discovered (too late) that this company has done this many times! They should not be allowed to operated.
warszawa- okecie .Just had a really frustrating experience with CarWiz. Poor customer service, hidden fees, and a vehicle that was far from what I reserved. To make things worse, the return process was disorganized and I was charged extra without explanation. Creating not existing damage if you don't buy they insurance. they charge me for not existing scratch on already damage rims and bumper 800 euro me I expected better — I won’t be using them again, and I’d suggest others double-check everything before renting. If you don't buy extra insurance they always screw you
I used CarWiz at Wrocław airport It was great experience very helpful desk service, polite and informative. Car was not the model and make I ordered online in UK but it was all good. I received my full deposit back within 24h from dropping off the keys. I was a little surprised that there was no checks when car was returned but maybe this is something to consider.
Warning: Carwiz is a dishonest rental company – double charges and false damage claimsAvoid renting from Carwiz at all costs. I was charged twice for car cleaning – even though I had already paid at pickup (I have proof from my bank), they charged me again upon return, falsely claiming I had not paid.Worse, I was charged £697 for damages that were already present when I picked up the car. I immediately called the company when I saw the scratches and was told "it's all in the report". Despite this, they later claimed I caused the damage.Carwiz ignores complaints, dismisses payment evidence, and treats customers dishonestly. In my view, they rely on scamming unsuspecting renters.I have reported the case to:my bank (chargeback request),RentalCover.com,and consumer protection agencies.Please be careful – there are many similar stories online. Do your research and avoid Carwiz.
This time I am extremely disappointed with the company’s attitude, which completely outweighs all my previous positive experiences.I booked a car more than a month in advance and paid in full, but I was never informed that I would be given a different model with a different type of fuel.I have medical contraindications to this type of fuel and physically cannot spend long periods in such a vehicle.I immediately requested a replacement car, but my request was refused, and the staff behaved in a highly unprofessional and dismissive manner.As a result, I was left without a suitable vehicle and with my plans ruined, despite having made the booking well in advance.Such treatment of customers is unacceptable. I will never use this company’s services again and do not recommend it to anyone who values honesty, respect, and compliance with agreed terms.
