Drop-off locations not up-to-date

Provided me with the details of our nearest drop-off shop. However, when we got their we were told they'd stop taking Collect+ parcels over 3 months ago.No offer of compensation for wasted time, parking charges and fuel.

Thieves and scammers

The staff at my local Collect+ pick up point are never more than minimally helpful. The last time I went in there (last week) I had seven items to collect. I got to the front of the queue-only one person is ever serving- only to be made to wait while all the paying customers were served, and then the staff member concerned sorted out an order with a confectionery rep in the store. Finally my first code was scanned. After approximately 10 seconds spent searching in one cupboard I was informed that my items had been returned as I was too late. I had arrived on or well before the last collection date for all items. He then told me that I was supposed to collect items within 48 hours which is total bullshit. He didn't even bother to scan the other codes I had despite me telling him I had six other items to collect. I sent in a formal complaint to Collect+. They didn't even bother to respond. I contacted the sellers concerned and they told me that I couldn't have my money back as the tracking showed that all items had been delivered to the store. I am left about £100 out of pocket with nothing to show for it. These people are scammers or thieves. I think that my problem was that I had the wrong skin colour!PS Thanks for the insincere generic response. If you were really at all interested you could have responded to the complaint I had already sent you

Collect+ should provide enhanced training to the staff members of their partner stores.

It appears that Collect+ may not be providing adequate training to the staff at their drop-off locations. I recently utilised their delivery service for an eBay sale, and the experience was far from straightforward. The customer had already paid for shipping, and I printed the prepaid label as instructed. Upon dropping off the parcel at my local Premier store for Royal Mail collection, I received a notification indicating that the parcel I had just dropped off was ready for me to collect. Concurrently, the buyer, located hundreds of miles away, also received an erroneous notification that their item was ready for collection.I returned to the Premier store to rectify the situation and clarify that the parcel was for dispatch, not collection. However, the store employee I interacted with did not speak English. Despite my attempts to explain, she provided a receipt indicating the issue was resolved, but the tracking information contradicts this. I am now concerned that the item may not reach its destination within the timeframe the buyer paid for. I have previously attempted to contact Collect+ regarding similar issues, but their customer service has been unresponsive.

I sent my parcel via this service

I sent my parcel via this service. It never arrived, the tracking number does not match up to either the Collect+ service, which sends you in a loop, or the carrier DPD, as the tracking number is not long enough.Despite trying to be in contact, there is no one human I have been able to be in touch with. Despite asking the original source, they say to contact the courier. This system is simply not good enough. It cannot be that you put your parcel in good faith into a system that cannot track it. If it is lost, which can happen, there must be someone to speak to and take some accountability. To leave people with no answers is unacceptable.I am still looking for answers nearly one month on.

Business Details

  • Collect+ is all about the instore experience, we no longer provide end to end parcel services. We are now the entry and exit point for parcels and all queries or comments regarding your parcel journey should be directed to the carrier in the first instance please.

Last year PayPoint acquired Yodel’s 50% stake in Collect+ making it the sole owner of the UK’s largest parcel shop network working with a range of partners: Amazon, DHL, eBay, FedEx, Parcel2Go and Yodel. The Collect+ brand is going through some operational changes which will be of benefit to our customers and our retailers. Any parcel queries from before 1 October 2020 should be referred to Yodel.

The Collect+ store network is made up of 10,000 newsagents, convenience stores, supermarkets and petrol stations, so wherever you are, there’s a good chance that a Collect+ Point is nearby. The majority of Collect+ Points are open 7-days a week, early ’til late, so collecting and sending parcels is easy and convenient.See more
