Review Time
Never normally have a problem doing the collect plus. However this time got told extremely rudely by the guys at budgens pin Green stevenage that the parcel was too big and yodel will refuse to take it as can only be 40cm x 20cm. They then refused to stick the sticker on the box or give it back to me. So no idea what will happen to this box. This is a box from perfectdraft which is one of their boxes, and budgens pin green is on the list of companies who I can return it too. So very confusing. Package is 50cm x 25cm
A service offered as an option on eBay. Collect Plus.Bought an item and was given the option to have it delivered to a COLLECT PLUS location at New Kings Rd by PARCEL2GO. According to P2G the shopkeeper said ‘No-one here of that name ordered that item’ and refused the parcel (!) I’ve looked online and this had happened to other customers for this address. Contact phone number for C+ is dead. Website asks that you contact your courier. It seems it’s the Wild West out there… where shops claiming to accept COLLECT PLUS items can say no on a whim. The item wasn’t large or dangerous. So I’ve no idea why they would refuse it, eBay seller is annoyed as am I. COLLECT PLUS should either provided the service they offer or remove the point from this shop.
Review of experience at Rishins N10 1LR.Absolutely awful. My partner warned me that the woman working here had refused a larger parcel he tried to return, resulting in him having to travel to the next collect+ who had no issue with the size of the parcel. So I checked dimensions etc before making my way. Got there and she looked at the parcel size and refused to take it staying that collect+ can only take parcels under 60cm and that my box was clearly over 60cm. We went back and fourth, my stating the box was within the dimensions (it was 51cm) and her saying she knows it is not and that she cannot accept it. I am not an argumentative person but this caused me so much frustration. She was so rude and ignorant, refusing to listen telling me I was wrong, she even told me to look at all the other parcels that other people had dropped off and that they only accept small parcels! I told her to measure the box to and if it was over the size I'd take it elsewhere. She said she had nothing to measure it with but then eventually finds a measuring tape. Of course it was within the dimensions and she still refused to take it. Telling me that she has no space for it and that the driver will refuse and it's not her fault. Honestly, I cannot tell you how frustrating this situation was. No apology for her telling me I was wrong and she was right of her absolute lack of customer service skills.I stated that it was within the dimensions she stated and that she needs to take the parcel. She reluctantly took it but asked for my details saying that I would need to come and collect it if the driver refused to take it. She then asked me to leave the parcel by the door, on its own, no safely designated area. Obviously just being difficult and didn't care as she didn't want to take it. Upon reading the reviews it seems they get paid per parcel so I can see why she made such a big deal. She clearly stayed that in that shop they do not accept big parcels (even if they're within the dimensions!!) So this should be looked into. It is unfair on the collect+ customers.
Collect+ were cracking. "Edwinstowe Convenience", however, where incredibly unprofessional.Collect+ have been great. They sent the labels out. It's been received back at the retailer. Can't fault the service.Edwinstowe Convenience were incredibly rude. I was ignored by one member of staff. The second member of staff just blankly stared at me until I asked them if they were available to help.I was told to take my parcel off the counter (by the other member of staff who had initially ignored me upon entry). I only needed a surface to lay the parcel down to stick the label on.I was then barked at that I had to put the parcel in the sack. No idea what sack they were on about. So I just left it on the counter and walked out.Incredible rude and unprofessional.
Parcel was left in a bush outside of my house. No note or anything through the door to give me any indication anything had been delivered, only knew because my email said it had been delivered and it clearly hadn’t been, at least not to any decent standard you would expect from an established company. Second time this has happened to me recently. Sort out your couriers, honestly.
I took a parcel to a local newsagent who is an agent for Yodel, i have used it before , he is so rude and bad mannered, doesnt look at uou or talk , obviously doesnt want to serve Yodel customers, almost snatches your parcel from you and then throws it into a box with others parcels. It is Jules news in Woolton Liverpool
Seriously, what is the point of Collect+? The idea sounds great, a single location to return all products bought online regardless of who from. Yet this isn't the reality. Some locations accept Yodel, some don't (for example). So, when a retailer says 'Find your local Collect+ drop off point".. What they really mean is, "Find your local Collect+ drop off point that accepts our parcels, as your local newsagent may not actually accept them"..So, what is the point? Why would I go to Collect+ , to only then have to search for a specific drop off location that accepts a certain delivery company? Why wouldn't I just search Yodel in the first place and miss off the pointless middle-ware that just adds an extra layer of obscurity and confusion? If you buy from Nike.com, for example, process a return it only mentions Collect+.. In big, massive bold lettering "COLLECT+" it boasts. "return your items conveninently in any one of thousands of Collect+ locations"... Hardly any mention of Yodel (I did find a mention on the form once printed, but it is tiny font and mentions nothing that "you need to search for Yodel drop off within Collect+". But nowhere does it state "Yodel is only available in a few Collect+ Drop Off locations".So, you generate a return, there's a link to 'find your Collect+ drop off", you click it, it asks for postcode then you're presented with a page full of logos.. Some I've never heard of, there's no 'Nike.com' logo, so as Nike make a massive big deal of using Collect+, there's no mention of 'Yodel' anywhere, and Collect+ make a massive big deal about how convenient they are, you simply click 'search'... And up pops your local newsagent.. Ace.. Until you go there and find out they don't accept Yodel.. What? Isn't Collect+ supposed to be a single drop off point. Why would a company use Collect+, if you can't actually use all Collect+ locations? Makes no sense and so all it does is just add confusion and 'bloat' to what should be a very simple process.Pointless.
I drove 20+ minutes to my closest Collect+ collection point to send a parcel and was turned away. They had run out of storage to keep all the parcels because Collect+ / Yodel had not collected for 4 days. That is outrageous and simply disrespectful to their customers and the agency! To compound matters, I complained but the help desk agent was bloody useless and seemed unable to comprehend the problem, or the fact that the shipment number was not in their system because neither was the package - and that was what I was complaining about!48 hours later and the promised follow-up to my complaint has not materialised.Collect+? More Like Collect-!
Used Westwood General Stores in Scarborough to return a parcel via Yodel. Excellent customer service - could not do enough to help (despite my visiting two other local stores who refused to accept my parcel).Would happily use this outlet again.

Collect+ is all about the instore experience, we no longer provide end to end parcel services. We are now the entry and exit point for parcels and all queries or comments regarding your parcel journey should be directed to the carrier in the first instance please.
Last year PayPoint acquired Yodel’s 50% stake in Collect+ making it the sole owner of the UK’s largest parcel shop network working with a range of partners: Amazon, DHL, eBay, FedEx, Parcel2Go and Yodel. The Collect+ brand is going through some operational changes which will be of benefit to our customers and our retailers. Any parcel queries from before 1 October 2020 should be referred to Yodel.
The Collect+ store network is made up of 10,000 newsagents, convenience stores, supermarkets and petrol stations, so wherever you are, there’s a good chance that a Collect+ Point is nearby. The majority of Collect+ Points are open 7-days a week, early ’til late, so collecting and sending parcels is easy and convenient.See more
