First Indoor Skydive

My 14 year old son received two Indoor flights with the team at Milton Keynes on the 18th July 2022. He absolutely loved it and can't wait to go again. His Instructor, George, made the whole experience so smooth and so much more enjoyable with a terrific attitude and an engaging manner.

The most amazing experience!

I had the most amazing experience at IFly Manchester! The staff were lovely, pleasant and welcoming, it was a great atmosphere and the experience as a whole was reasonably priced.

Not a customer focused business

Not a customer focused business. Was given a voucher to fly as a birthday present, arrived at Basingstoke center 15 mins before the session, not 45 mins as required by the center, and was told to get lost as not enough time to get changed and instructed (i.e. to be told about the same flying rules as a mandatory pre-flight video explains in 3 mins). Objection that this indeed could be done within 15 mins was dismissed on the “computer says no” grounds.Rules are important, especially safety ones, but common sense should prevail.

Really disappointed

Really disappointed, morale obviously low as instructors looked as though they wanted to be anywhere else but work. Our first minute was 45 seconds and the second minute we were only in the wind tunnel for 50 seconds whilst I paid an extra £10 to be elevated in the wind tunnel.Time to change your business model IFLY as we were offered half price returns and yet you could offer it free and we wouldn't want to come. I would suggest you have less people through the door, give longer flights and motivate your staff - we are much more likely to return. I hope this review helps

Absolute rip off don't waste your…

Absolute rip off don't waste your money, bought as a present with a media voucher. The only decent part to it is the high fly & they want £10;00 extra for something that lasts 20 seconds. The pictures are crap and the video can only be described as a joke. The staff are great but I doubt anyone would go twice

Money Grabbing Sharks with No Mercy for children

We have been regular goers to Ifly since the September 2020. But lately we would only have our 2 boys have flying experiences. During the pandemic when the IFly in Milton Keynes allowed to operate under stricter rules, very few clients in the groups. Some occasions only 2 or 3 and the flights were maybe 10 or 15 sec longer , the staff were super accommodating e.t.c We felt welcome especially as one of our boys is on the spectrum and his joy and happiness during the experience was priceless for us (given the distance and the cost) We booked this year the birthday treats for the boys flying sessions On the 4/02/2022 we had the first one and the second one was due on the 1/03/2022.During the one on the 04/02/2022 the onboarding was more relaxed, our boys knew the safety briefing by heart now and we had to wait around for entire 45 min before the flight sessions. Nothing, specific was done apart from the fact that we requested different fully covered helmets. However, what we did notice that the flights were reduced by 15 or20 sec for almost all 12 participants (much bigger group then usual group) we sat on the side and we could see the timer. As usual we had extra flights and additional lifts to the top …so additional $$$ but again it was a treat and the boys were so happy. We end up paying for extras almost as much as per the flights themselves. At the checkout we were prompted and pushed to get the next session for my other son with additional VR experience. We booked and paid for the session on the 4/02 for the 01/03.Unfortunately, on the day while driving from London after the boys finished school we got stuck in traffic .Called to advise that we are running late for 6.00 pm session and we a desperately wanted to make sure that the boys have the experience on the day as it was the actual birthday on the actual day and we already been driving for almost 2 hours. We had nothing else planned or booked as it was a school night .plus we never ever been late , having an autistic child it keeps us very disciplined with our planning and schedule. The staff did not show any interest in the details ( that the boys are frequent flyers and have experience )and the importance of the flights taking place today. No amount of pleading in Begging has helped - we did arrive 10 min before our schedule time and there was an instructor standing waiting around while I was trying to ask for any other alternatives. My boys were visibly upset ,crying as we had to drive back home for another 2 hours ( not the best way to celebrate a birthday)Our Son on the spectrum was panickingthat his scheduled activity was not going to take place and starting to isming.Seeing all of this ,made me feel full of despair, humiliation and sadness.Especially as the manager on duty Chanel was so abrupt, displaying indifference and annoyance at our family. We were she found it quite funny the fact that she has the power to just send us away.No attempt to help our family in any way , no signs of empathy or display of basic human kindness. A Business that’s not long ago struggled to stay afloat during the pandemic a place where we kept coming back while there were not too many customers to show support. We could not even get our money backI left Ifly very emotional as I felt I failed my little ones on a special occasion. There are some wonderful Instructors at the Centre but management is only focused on profits and making money.Nothing wrong with earning a living but there should be room for kindness and empathy for places that promote inclusion

Profits Before People - Zero Compassion Company

It is such a shame that iFLY has ZERO compassion in these tough pandemic times and cannot extend vouchers that have expired during COVID and if you want to extend they charge you even more... So SAD that a company treats people suffering as much as we have in the UK like this.

Absolute rip off

Absolute rip off. Stay away. Paid £68+£10 to expect a 30 mins session but only got 2 mins. You will share 30 mins in turns with a group of 6 people and then they had further booked the same session with another group, so you end up with no more than 2 mins. Instructors extremely rude and unhelpful, may be under paid and stressed out. The receptionist was ok and cooperative. They are making endless money for a really bad service and should be investigated by the government.

IFLY Manchester

I purchased an IFLY voucher for my 11 year old son for Christmas. I wanted to give him an experience that he would remember. We managed to book a slot on the 11/08/20, it was extremely difficult to select a suitable date and time, there was not many options. We were informed by IFLY that we were required to attend 1 hour prior to the slot. We arrived one hour before and were told that we were too early and were asked if we would go away and come back. We stayed in the building. The instructor came and all participants were given kit and an introductory talk that lasted under 5 minutes. I cannot understand the requirement to arrive an hour early. I was under the impression that my son would have received his two minute flights, however this was not the case. We were offered an additional extra to accompany the instructor to the top of the dome which costed £8. This was included in my sons two minute flights that I had already paid for. Therefore my son did not receive the time flying that we had paid for. I feel that this has been a con and I will not be returning or advising others to go. It is not value for money. The other issue I felt, was that the instructor paid particular attention to one particular child who clearly had more time than the other participants. It later came out that she was thinking of purchasing lessons. This is not fair or professional.

Wont be buying vouchers ever again !

Initial sessions were great. Then was convinced to purchase three more sessions at a reduced rate. however when attempting to book within the period given there were never any slots available and then had to pay an 'extension' cost of £30. Will be trying elsewhere after these sessions are completed. Should not sell vouchers if there is never any space. Opportunistic gain when having to extend the vouchers.
