Review Time
Used this service two times.The first time my package never arrived. Had to plead with customer support for 3 months to get a refund.The second time they charged me $58 for a small package. Clearly a mistake. Again I had to argue with customer service for an hour to get a refund. To the point I had to explain to them how mathematics work.I can only conclude that this company purposely deceives customers to make money. Avoid.
Scammers. Just the worse customer service. They don’t understand import and export rules. They will ship something one day and not the next. When you ask to talk to a manager they say you can’t. When you ask them why they can’t ship something, they point you to their own website that doesn’t say they can’t ship it.
Lost more than $1000 and no action so far. It's likely turned into a scam.This is not my first time using myUS.I bought a $900 phone to be shipped express, no additional items to combine.As opposed to the website, it's less than $70 for shipping but I was charged around $160. Nevermind, I needed it before August 18th as a gift, so I paid it.Now the box reaches me a week later. I clear the customs with an additional $170 and receive a box containing lotions. Beware: their shipping calculator doesn't tell you about the extra fees and ridiculous valuations for VAT/GST purposes. TL;DR: my shipment which was meant to cost USD40 ended up being nearly double that.I was shipping a jacket worth USD70, which the shipping calculator told me would cost USD40 to ship to Australia.First: they *automatically* process your shipment so you have no chance to choose the method. I did manage to get onto an online chat and get my method confirmed (Aramex, USD40, they told me).So imagine my surprise when my credit card was charged USD72 the next day. They told me:- the'd charged USD45 not USD40 because "shipping charges change every day"- they automatically charge insurance (not optional)- they charge a fee for GST processing (not disclosed) which seems to be an extra 2%- they valued my item at USD190 instead of USD70 resulting in huge over-calculation of GSTThey are blatantly dishonest about what their shipment charges are going to be, and once they have your credit card details they just charge whatever they want.
Have been a myUS customer since mid 2017 and apart from 2-3 mishaps, overall it has been a great experience. Even with the mishaps, the customer service as prompt to refund and sort it out promptly. Once, I reached out to customer support they even refunded the cost of international shipping based on item weight. Their shipping rates to Saudi Arabia has also been greatly discounted and that too since last year the cheapest tier is now DHL (which was pre-2023 the most expensive option). This is great because when shipping items with dangerous good like Lithium batteries, etc. this makes its worth to get if there are no local options for me at lower shipping price now. Overall a nice experience, the only reason I reduced one star is, recently I feel the pricing update review process is taking much longer than before, and a month ago due to poor packaging of a record player it was totally destroyed (got full refund for item cost & international shipping) and during inspection of a record vinyl they damaged it by carelessly opening by cutting through the record. But they did admit it and offered a refund. And finally they lost one package after it was logged in suite, then took almost few days to finally make the shipment after locating it. But in general I did say they are very good and customer support so far for me has been great! I would recommend them.
Am such a luckiest person on earth. A friend referred me to this company, thinking it is a great company. Days down the line he came back urging me not to sign up with them, citing the reason that they would transfer the charges from other debtors to your account so that you foot them. If you fail, they wont ship the parcel. You will surrender it to them and forget. They are merciless. Stay away!! My friend is crying!!
My mum placed an order with this company for a garbage disposal. The costs were out of the world because of delivery and duty taxes.They sent her the delivery in 2 separate deliveries instead of 1 (which made her pay twice for duty taxes).They did pay for the second duty tax though.Eventually, my mum received her garbage disposal, only to discover by the professional who came to attach it, that parts were missing from it. Many parts. Crucial parts. The engine of the garbage disposal did not work and made a circuit (and there was no electric cable).The product was in a box without a specific address to return the product if there were any problems.When she addressed the company, they apologized, and said their employees check the products in the warehouse (which proves they hire incompetent inspectors- if they did not notice so many parts were missing from the product), and are now asking her to return the product via a deadline by the provider (I am assuming they are not willing to pay for tax and delivery payments- which leaves my mum at a great loss of money, and not worth her additional time to spend for returning, as she will lose almost the same amount of what she paid already).She was so discouraged by this ordeal that she did not want anything more to do with it. And I'm extremely angry because this company just stole $303 from her (excluding the addition of around $75 duty tax).I wrote an email on my mum's behalf, as I wanted her to get a full refund, but I didn't get any reply from the company.They are unprofessional and unreliable, and they will exhaust you until you want nothing more to do with them. UPDATE: Brandi from Customer Service was on the case. She was very nice and polite and got us a refund.
A fraudulent company! Stay AWAY!!!!!! Don’t say you were not warned.They charged me an arm and a leg on duties for items that cost a total of no more than $100 making it look like that was the only duty charge I was going to incur; and then the items arrive in my home country and I am being asked by Customs to pay additional duties that cost more than half the cost of the things I bought, keep in mind they had already charged me for duties, making it a double charge.Stay away people!
