Review Time
From happiness to hell within 24 hoursWithin 24 hours of taking procession of a brand new Skoda Karoq from capital Škoda in Newport I discovered a substantial water leak in the boot (How this was not discovered beforehand baffles me). I immediately reported the issue to Capital Skoda and from there the customer service went to zero. They took 4 days to get me a courtesy car as they did not have one available and if they lent me the salesman’s car he would be without transport. Clearly the salesman’s needs are far greater than the customers This resulted in a loss of earning and having to take unpaid leave from work. It then took 24 hours to get the car in the garage to diagnose the issue. During this time I spoken with Skoda UK, VW finance, and Capital Škoda as to how I can proceed and where I can find this information in my folder of ambiguously named documents. Needless to say they were very uncooperative the only information they offered was the easiest option was to ACCEPT a car that’s UNFIT FOR PURPOSE.For the benefit of Capital Skoda employees should a customer wish to return a vehicle. They inform you of their intentions, you will then need to request a returns form from VW finance, complete and return to VW finance they then submit it to Skoda UK for review. In the meantime the customer is left in Limbo as all parties involved wash their hand of all responsibility and couldn’t care what financial implications this process has had on you and how your mental health has suffered. They simply keep you in the dark until you get a phone to inform you that the return has been accepted and they have sourced a like for like replacement. Further advice from the Sales Manager “ This is the best outcome to prevent all parties involved experiencing any financial burden”. I have now received 3 phone calls in as many days pressuring me into making a decision regardless of the substantial loss of earning I have suffered. My current situation is the only vehicle I have is a courtesy car, which unless I accept the replacement car Capitol Skoda can take it away tomorrow. My part ex car location is unknown and probably sold. They have my deposit money so I can’t even buy a cheap run around, this is making me feel like I’m being bullied into the worst decision for me as when I have no means of transport I am going to lose further Income.
I took delivery of my new car on September 1st 2022 and when I arrived at my home I lifted the bonnet to view the engine. It was a surprise to see that there was no engine cover and despite numerous emails and lengthy phone calls to Skoda UK and several telephone calls to the supplying dealer here I am 18 months later still waiting for an engine cover to be fitted. This is my third new Skoda in six years and I like the product very much, however the product is badly let down by appalling customer service. With a car costing in excess of £43000, to have to wait 18 months (and still counting) for an engine cover is totally unacceptable. When I change this car in 18 months time it will not be for another Skoda as this episode has put me off the brand forever.
Where to begin, Skoda Enyaq 2 1/2 years old. Needed a new steering wheel virtually from new, had to wait 3 months. Then, complete shutdown while driving, no brakes or steering. This happened on 4 separate occasions. Faulty earth, it’s took 3 months to be corrected as well. Unbelievably dangerous. The latest, electric drive not working correctly, now almost 6 months and no resolution. Skoda have had it on diagnostics (Skoda the manufacturer, not the dealer) and they don’t know what’s wrong and are unwilling to engage with me. Could not recommend an Enyaq to anyone. I have asked for the diagnostic reports and was told these were internal documents and would not be released. Enyaq buyers be VERY, VERY carefulWill Ireland
I cannot thank Skoda UK ( especially Luke) enough for all their help and kindness in resolving my problems and concerns with Derek Slack Skoda in Middlesborough.I will also add that the new Scala Monte Carlo 150ps that I bought in Velvet Red is beautiful and is such a great car to drive.
Nothing wrong with the product. Apart from a minor fault not covered under warranty. Skoda Kodiak bought new in 2019. Customer service terrible, failure to understand and comply with simple lawful request (Data Storage and handling), I'd buy another Skoda only if I didn't have to buy it from Skoda
Skoda Enyaq 60 October 2021 done 9810 miles got a puncture? punctures cannot be repaired tyres are internally coated with a anti repair gel WHY?puncture repair £25 new tyre £240 Halfords also say other tyres are not good one has only 3mm tread and two are worn on one side. I am 76 years old I drive steady dont drive roughly, I have had maybe 30 cars and vans and never remember replacing tyres at under 20000 miles are we now using woke rubber? I had the car serviced in October 2023 by a non Skoda garage which is allowed using the EU motor vehicle block exemption scheme. which keeps the manufacturers warranty it also saved me the private independant garage price £140 Skoda franchise £280
My three year old Skoda went in for its routine service and first MOT in Jan. I was shocked to be presented with around £1k of 'urgent' work being required on my car (it did pass its MOT so I question just how urgent some of this stuff is.The main issue is apparently rear brake pads and discs. This is my third car owned from new and I have never had to replace tear brake pads and discs in such a new car. I can only conclude that either (a) Skoda lied or (b) Skoda parts are rubbish.I attempted to raise a complaint with Skoda but was told this is all down to my driving style (I've been driving around 30 years and my other cars have all coped).Zero interest from Skoda on providing any remedial action/compensation. I won't be shopping with them again... For either cars or servicing.
My experience with the Bristol depot was awful the member of staff there (Ross) was very rude and abusive never have I been spoken to like that by anybody he was that rude and unprofessional this is how they treat disabled people on motorbilaty, be very wary I wouldn't order a car with them after my experience they also lie about delivery dates once your locked in its difficult to get out my issue was with the staff member at bristol if that's the service you receive before you've even ordered your car then god help you afterWell logged a complaint with customer service what a joke past it to Manager Tim from Skoda at Bristol to call me said they closed the complaint avoid them don't purchase from skoda absolute waste of time
Used to be really good carsI have 100% electricApart from little niggles, like reverse light, not bright enough, so doesn’t light up the road in the dark on the cameraThe main issue is battery.False advertisement of, 264 mile range, never got over 199, typically it’s 180, and 160 in the winter.Sometimes even lower!Currently the Skoda wrap on my two-year-old Skoda is showing 100% charge, gives me 106 miles!
