Steve has been amazing from day one! Always checking in to see how our application with pip was coming along, letting us know about things happening within Motability and Skoda and just generally checking in to see how we were doing. During the handover we had our two youngest with us and one of them was not happy but he did everything he could to walk us through the features on the car and how to use it. He even called us back the following day to check in and booked us in to come back for a follow up. His services has been amazing and he is a credit to Skoda!
Title: A Disappointing Encounter: Skoda's Unethical, Rude, and Discriminatory Customer ServiceAs a conscientious consumer, I believe it's essential to share experiences to help others make informed decisions. Regrettably, my encounter with Skoda's customer service left me deeply disheartened and compelled to caution potential customers. From the outset, the experience was marred by unethical conduct. Despite assurances of timely service, there were unexplained delays, leaving me feeling undervalued and disrespected as a customer. Communication was sparse and unprofessional, indicative of a lack of regard for customer satisfaction.Furthermore, the interactions with Skoda's representatives were marked by rudeness and disrespect. Rather than addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism, there was a dismissive and condescending tone, fostering an environment of frustration and helplessness. What's even more concerning is the apparent presence of racism in their service practices. Discriminatory remarks and treatment were evident, painting a distressing picture of a company that fails to uphold basic principles of equality and respect for all individuals.Adding insult to injury, there were instances of fraudulent behavior, where promises were made but not delivered upon, and attempts to rectify issues were met with evasion and dishonesty. Such blatant disregard for integrity and transparency is unacceptable in any business, let alone one as reputable as Skoda. In conclusion, my experience with Skoda's customer service was nothing short of a disappointment. From unethical practices to rude behavior, and even hints of racism and fraudulence, it's evident that significant improvements are urgently needed to restore trust and credibility. Until then, I cannot in good conscience recommend Skoda to others.
I bought my skoda new from westend skoda edinburgh 5 years ago and I chose to get sets of winter and summer wheels ( mistake). Twice they couldnt find my wheels on the day of changeover, as the ‘tyre hotel’ seemed to have lost them. Skoda give you a ‘ healthcheck on the car when they change tyres. This time they put my summer tyres back on gave me the tread as 5 mm , same as it went into the tyre hotel. However I got an mot and service elsewhere two weeks later and the tread was 3 and 2mm, an advisory on the MOT. And very worn on one edge. So, how has this happened?? I checked with MOT provider a great garage, they checked their callibration, all ok. I checked with another garage, tyres definitely 3 and 2 mmSo, Other garages support the lower tread levels. Skoda insist they are right and have measured them again, while being very rude to me at 5 mm again. Several Other garages cannot be wrong but they wont accept this. And they are impossible to talk to as they are so rude.I am left with thres needing replaced and the tyre hotel bills I would never have used if I had known the tyres were so worn!
Given that I can't permanently disable the frankly dangerous lane assist on my new Skoda Fabia, which apparently knows what I need better than me, I thought the clock might set itself to BST today like all my other devices have. No such luck. The car is cursed with the most over-complicated and fussy driver interface I have ever encountered. Useful settings aren't saved between journeys and the slightest touch takes you into menus that you can't safely navigate whilst driving. The manual appears to have been translated from Czech to Hungarian and then into English by an obsessive engineer who thinks that you need three paragraphs to tell you how to press a button. Woeful design failures and a very frustrating car.
After giving my details to Skoda and VW Financial as per their request still no contact from them. It seems if they send you a reply asking for your details it will lessen the impact of their total failure to address a complaint. It is shameful a company the size of the VW Group treat customers in such an appalling manner. Maybe the size of the company is the problem as they simply don’t care about their customers. I will never buy another vehicle from Skoda or the VW Group as it’s been the worst car buying experience I have ever had.
Just do yourselves a favour…. Preferably buy another car make. Or return your car for a full refund if you’re in your first 30 days. If none of these two options are available to you complain, then wait eight weeks then take your case to the motor ombudsman. Let the ombudsman sort your problem out as ŠKODA customer services and case managers certainly won’t! The worst ever customer service experience. Phoned your “help line” no help whatsoever. Promised a call back twice, hasn’t happened either time. Was continually reassured once Megan had seen my messages she’d call me. Still waiting. Sat on hold for over an hour as I was “apparently” transferred to Megan after which the phone cut off without ever speaking to this elusive manager of case handlers! Was also told by one customer representative her manager isn’t customer facing so either they have managers who think they are above the customer or I was told an untruth, I doubt I’ll find out which to be honest, unless Megan ever calls! At the end of the day all these managers who think they are too good, need to remember they are simple retail workers at the end of the day, not royalty. At least looking at the amount of bad reviews some of them should be out of jobs soon, as a company with less and less repeat customers isn’t a growing one.
Can’t believe the level of poor customer service with Skoda, my vehicle was recovered under warranty on March 4th 2024 , it currently has been turned away by two Skoda main dealers with no reason as to why, no explanation no email nothing from either garages ,only after calling the main dealers was I given reason as to why, ranging from to busy to vag sending a directive stating that no recovered vehicles are to be accepted this was sent on the same day the vehicle was due to be received. This situation is still ongoing and will be a month now until its next appointment at the next main dealer. The vehicle a Kodiaq its excellent , can’t fault it , as for the aftercare terrible makes me question if I want a Skoda as a next car , it a real shame as the product is first class
The service centre is an absolute joke. My car had the shipping blocks left in after 18months of having the car. The car went into the garage 3 times for the banging on the front suspension to be told there was nothing wrong. I eventually dropped the car off a said I didn’t want it. Miraculously they found the shipping blocks were still in place.Every time my car goes in for a service I am told it is not due as they have not set the oil change life for long life oil.when I got the car back the oil light was still on. I will definitely not have another Skoda.
