Avoid at all costs. The company accepts your order, takes payment, and then sends a "your order has been processed, expect delivery within 3 days email" and then nothing. I have been waiting over 2 weeks, emails and telephone calls go unanswered. If I could give minus stars, I would. stoveglass-direct.co.uk are nothing more than a scam.
Worst company I have ever dealt with. Avoid like the plague. I ordered a glass front for my log burner nearly 3 weeks ago. Delivery 3-5 days promised. Paid immediately. Since then I have phoned 14 times and sent 3 emails. No response at all. Will pursue to get money back if necessarily through small claims court. They are disgraceful.
I ordered weeks ago an item from this website : stoveglass-direct.co.ukI haven't received the item yet and the number called always goes to a registered voicemail to leave details for a quick call back. I also sent various emails with the details of the order without success (not even a call to say why it is taking so much time). Definitely not happy and reading other reviews, I think I am not the only one.
Do NOT buy anything from this company. They keep your money and don't send the goods. They don't answer emails or the phone. I am £63 out of pocket.Like others, I should have read reviews for this company before I place the order.
Paid £49 for 2 pieces of stove glass. After nearly 2 weeks without any feedback I contacted Richard Musgrove who apologised and promised to dispatch asap. Received notification from Evri (aka Hermes, so not a good sign). Then Evri said that they were returning a parcel to sender, no calling card or info to prove they actually tried to deliver or what the parcel actually was. Contacted stoveglass-direct but absolutely nothing in response. Not sure which is worse, Evri or stoveglass-direct, but while Evri are incompetent, stoveglass-direct is clearly corrupt and once they have your money you can whistle. It amounts to theft really. Will try chargeback scheme now then Trading Standards. Bottom line is to pay a bit more and avoid scummy businesses.
Received two pieces of replacement stove glass in February 2022. One piece was smashed. Attempted to contact via phone, email to no avail. Got in touch with trading standards and sent a letter they advised. Then had a phone call from Richard who apologised , said they had been very busy. So he agreed to send another piece and emailed to that effect.That was in March, it still hasn't arrived and they continue to ignore emails and phone messages. So I am without a piece of stove glass and out of pocket £45 and there is nothing you can do because they just won't comply. Steer clear. They are crooks.
