I bought a car from the Dartford branch at Brent. Russel was amazing and I managed to drive off the forecourt the same day. I'm very happy and confident with my purchase and he managed to put me at ease about driving a much bigger car. The customer service was impeccable and I would recommend them to anyone.
I was advised that I needed a new starter motor and battery in October. The week before Xmas I had not received any updates and apparently the parts had still not arrived according to the switchboard operator. The power to my engine was now failing. It was impossible to get through to WJ King at Woolwich directly and I was only ever able to speak with the switchboard operator. Eventually I gave up and found a mobile mechanic who did the work for me the next day in time for Xmas. I have still not been contacted by WJ King. The engine warning light and message stating engine low on power returned 24/01/23. The car is only 6 years old with low mileage.WJ King Woolwich customer service used to be second to none, truly first rate. I am so disappointed in how this recent matter was handled, or rather not handled. I will no longer be bringing my car for its annual service and MOT to you. In the event that I ever purchase another Vauxhall, I will go to another dealership.25 January 2023Just received a response to my review from Laura at WJ King. Laura did you even read and comprehend. I said I couldn't get through to Michael at Woolwich and just kept getting you!!!
Terrible customer service! Unscrupulous behaviour of adding a £99 "Security fee" which was never mentioned, this to cover WJ Kings "Admin, HPI & Service fees"??. When queried (they pro-forma invoiced the wrong vehicle anyway) no one calls back when requested, 4x phone calls, messages left, 3x emails - Also turns out vehicle they were trying to sell was 6yrs out of having a cambelt change, yet they were happy to sell it anyway. Now not refunding holidng fee, and again have not confirmed via email as promised by Dean their supposed Service Manager (which he apparently isn't??). Unable to speak with any senior members as "the whole of Bromley is off with covid"???Needless to say we did not buy the car.***BUYER BEWARE***
I lease my car and previous cars from WJ KIng. I have experienced a problem with one of my tyres and it was established I needed a TPMS valve stem. When i telephoned, I was told that WJ King wouldn`t do the repair because they are not the Hyundai dealership any more. I explained that may be the case but if I still have my MOT and service done with them, I couldn`t see that it would be a problem.I was then informed that WJ King would do the repair but would have to do their diagnostics costing £165. The part in question only costs £15.I think this is very poor service and I am disappointed in their reaction. I couldn`t get through to a manager but requested a call back.I will not use them any more now as I think this is very poor service despite being a returning customer. They`re keen enough to market me about new cars but not to maintain a good service.
Today I had a call from Loretta from the Woolwich branch who at last has managed to sort out my new car and hopefully I will be getting it on Friday I can't thank you enough restored my faith in wj King thank you very much Loretta I picked up my car on the 6/10/22 and I could not be happier with it and the service I have had thanks to all at the Woolwich branch 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Avoid Peugeot Sidcup like a plague! If any problem occurs they will lie to you and eventually start to avoid any contact. I couldn’t use my car for a month because of their fault and appalling customer service, I lost time and money.
WJ King customer care and service is crap, they don’t look after customer or their vehicles once sold.I bought new Kia Sorrento from Kia Sidcup and I am being told by WJ King of 2 months lead time to resolve a DVLA safety recall on Kia Sorrento and check why my vehicle dashboard lights as it is not working properly! I am being advice not to use my car until safety recall is checked or fixed, that means a car under 7 years warranty will take two months to get it checked or fix and until then not to use it.
I had wanted to update my review of the experience with the Corsa 66 plate at the end of the warranty year to provide readers with a good overview of how WJ King conduct themselves, but with 2 months left, the time is apposite to do it now. There have been 4 issues.1. Android auto never worked for me. WJ King blamed the mobile phone but eventually a reset of the Corsa computer by Vauxhall technicians resolved the problem (Took ca 2 months in total to resolve)2. GuardX applied but seats stained easily shortly after sale. Photos shown to GuardX who advised product had not been adequately applied. Product reapplied, and seemingly correctly, but seats still get stained. Vauxhall lost one of my mats when reapplication was undertaken and never replied to my request for my mat to be given back to me. 3. Car broke down in early warranty period and needed the accelerator pedal and control module replaced. Several calls required but eventually they came and took car and replaced the part. (Incidentally my cousin has 68 plate Corsa which has had the same fault and it cost him £600 to repair). 4.Most recent breakdown 8/9/22 (car unusable again). RAC diagnose faulty ignition coil and corroded spark plugs. (Spark plugs fitted on 2/3/21 by WJ King, 17,000 miles since that date (Independent service on 9/8/22, but spark plugs not replaced as too early in service cycle). photos of spark plugs taken. WJ King refuse to accept RAC diagnosis. I am told via phone that a charge of £144 is levied by WJ King to undertake their own diagnosis, which is refundable, if they consider the repair to be justified under the warranty. I am not prepared to pay WJ King a penny more, and therefore will not run the risk of paying for their diagnosis. (I am given to understand that other manufacturers will accept a diagnosis from the RAC) WJ King say the spark plugs are not covered, but I would argue they should be in this case, given the date they were fitted (2/3/21) and the mileage since they were fitted.Overall, I'm not able to conclude how the company operate, but the above experience is not good, the company acting poorly in several instances, and the car isn't that good either (i.e. it doesn't work as of 8/9/22). The car still looks very good and is high end spec. We buy any car value it at £7000 (a loss of about £2500 over a period of a year for me). My offer to WJ King is they pay me said money, and reimburse me for the loss of a car to drive and take the thing away.
