My son pays with his phone for most things. He didn’t buy anything else as there is no transaction on his account for that day. So he does owe the garage 30 quid however the photo provided shows him at the cashiers desk with his phone out. He has paid the 35 quid on top as he was too worried about being taken to court and has too much on with work. He is a low wage earner but is honest and works hard, companies like this are one step away from scaremonger scammers.
I've been receiving every day a letter saying that I have to pay for stolen fuel. And I ready called you and I told you to high light my address and don't send me anything from other people and still you using my address anyhow so I'm thinking you are scammer .i think you got someone in your system those people are paying something under the table for passing their fines tickets to my address and i think I should call the police. It's getting serious and you don't care about people health. Plus fuel stations shouldn't trust your services. Because you are part of those gangs.....
SCAMMERS, DO NOT buy your petrol or diesel from shell garage. Recently went for fuel at a shell garage bristol road birmingham b31 and placed my card on the card reader paid and went back to my car. I then received a letter dated 30th July 2025 which was nearly three weeks from the time i was supposed to committed the offence 8th July 2025 from Forecourteye saying that i drove away from the garage and never paid for my fuel. When i spoke with Forecourteye they actully said that the ctv showed me at the machine in the shop. Im a pensioner and not knowing that i had not paid i went back to to garage to speak with the manager. When i explained and showed him the letter that i never drove off and that Forecourteye were charging me £35 admin fee, the manager laughed and said no. I asked him to get intouch to which he said he would and he would phone me. He never phoned back. i went back and forth 4 times, he then said i need to get intouch with Forecourteye they was no use at all saying it was my responsibility. What im trying to say is that £30 petrol has now turned out to be £90.01 I had to pay after the garage said there was a delay on the screen, i was not called back via a tanoy which they have and Forecourt eye kept putting the admin letter up in price until it was paid. Absolute scammers and i think the garage is in on it, shocking appalled that they can treat pensionrs like this. I WILL NOT USE ANYMORE SHELL GARAGES.
I was waiting for a letter from Forecourt Eye in order to pay for my fuel as it payment after an issue paying in the store. I waited over a month and received the letter two weeks after it was written (or at least dated) meaning it had incurred a high penalty charge by the time it reached me. I paid the fuel, and then received a reminder letter, which again, I received two weeks after the letter was written/ dated. After reading other's experiences this is a common problem which leaves me to believe it is a deliberate tactic by the company to charge late fees without giving people the opportunity to pay the original fee. Forecourt Eye were unbelievably rude, said they didn't have an internal complaints procedure, were not regulated by any ombudsman, refused to let me provide any evidence and then accused me of lying. I called Tesco customer service who were very kind and waived the fees completely, so if anyone is in a similar position, don't even bother going through Forecourt Eye, go directly to the store / petrol station involved and explain the situation, they have the power to override the case / fees.
I know these things always sound hollow but I genuinely drove away by accident with £12.95 of fuel. I only stopped to buy water on a broiling day when I had got badly sunburnt and because there were no parking spaces I had to pull up by a pump. I felt obliged to put some fuel in, which I didn't need, as my tank was nearly full, hence the £12.95. I then went into the shop to get water and in a trance saw a long queue at the till so went to the self-service checkout completely forgetting the fuel. I was horrified when I got the letter from forecourt Eye a week later and actually needed to check the images to be sure as I had no recollection. Having done so I wrote apologising and saying I had no issue paying but their administrative charge at £35 was excessive. I got a curt letter back saying that was what had to be paid. I then wrote again asking for, a justification for such a high charge for one letter. The response was one line saying it's £35 and £60 if I don't pay in ten days and no attempt to answer my query. I did pay within three days of receiving the notice but I found their response insolent and unprofessional. Not everyone is a criminal. Accidents happen. Who puts only 12.95 of fuel in and then goes into the shop if their intention is to drive off??? Don't they fill their tanks and just drive off? My main gripe is the ill mannered reply to a perfectly civil question. Modern life! They themselves are committing theft in my view.
In July put £25 petrol in my car...received a letter saying I drove off without paying so checked my bank statement and they had only taken £2.50 from my account..so I agree I owe them £22.50 but not the extra £35..I phoned them up but all the guy said was you want to pay now..he said you bought chocolate and went to the toilet then drove off...if I paid for chocolate with my card why not the petrol also..His answer was bullshit..he said you will have to ring the garage in Liverpool and that's it if you are not paying now..I phoned the garage and they are looking into it..when they don't ring me back tomorrow I will try again..
I’ve been a regular customer at Shell in Solihull for years, filling up petrol weekly without any issues. But recently, I received a threatening letter from a company called Forecourt Eye (acting on behalf of the station), claiming I left without paying and demanding a penalty. I had no idea there was a problem — turns out my card was declined during the transaction, but no one at the station informed me at the time.I called Forecourt Eye multiple times and left several voicemails, but never got a response. There’s no proper appeal process — just pay the fine or face further action. It feels more like a scam than a professional service. When I went back to the station to speak with the manager, he casually said, “Your card was declined, and we were too busy to notice.” No apology, no ownership — just a weak excuse. I asked for CCTV footage to clarify the situation, and he said it's already been deleted (apparently they only keep 30 days of footage). It’s frustrating that a genuine mistake — likely on their side — turned into a penalty demand with no fair process or investigation. I can’t help but wonder if there's some kind of arrangement between this station and Forecourt Eye, given how quickly and aggressively the case was escalated. If you’re filling up here, keep your receipts and double-check everything. This experience has left a really bad taste.
