Taunton Deane services 03.28hrs on the 15th of April on the way to Bristol airport. The cashier was having a problem syncing the payment machine. I waited, until the machine clicked into life, presented my payment card and the handest said "approved". At no time did the cashier call me back. I receive a letter from ForecourtEye written allegedly on the 17th of April, which I would question as the letter didn't then arrive until the 30th of April. I go to pay what I believe to be £29.99 plus an admin fee of £10, only to see now that the charge is now exceeding £60, although, as requested, paying it "promptly". Very clever, date the letter as close to the incident as you can, sit back and count the money! As an ex-police officer this stinks and there is no one you can query it with!
Simple extortion - £35 admin fee - are cashiers encouraged to pass on details to this company rather than the police - who would contact the vehicle owner with no admin charge?????. I have purchased fuel at the same site for years - an oversight on my part led to a £35 admin charge - VOTE WITH YOUR CUSTOM - GO ELSEWHERE FOR FUEL Tesco - please rethink how you recover missed payments - i know some are of criminal intent - a matter for the police - but a regular customers making a mistake is an entirely different matter
Again 1 star does not reflect the discusting nature of this company. The defenition of Extortion is defined as "obtaining something of value through use of threats or coercion, often involving intimidation."We do not live in America and the defining difference about our scociety is it is fare, something that Forecourt eye as a business model seem to have skipped over. Fare would be their machine alerting the customer the transaction is not complete at point of sale. Fare would be a letter apologising and requesting payment for the fuel and only the fuel. Fare would be a complaints proceedure on the letter and a clear way of contesting the accusation.Unfare is asking for money and then treatening someone, that is extortion. Fuel £19.71 admin costs £35. The assumption is that my son did a runner, but if there is no way of knowing you have not paid for the fuel, how in the hell is this fare. This is not even extortion, it is entrapment followed by extortion. Please get this comany to revue it business model as at the present time it is not fare and right. I get the fact they are trying to run a business and need the £35 but skipping a simple request to pay something that someone had no idea it had not been payed is not right. Please get anyone who has been caught out to raise this with trading standars and we just might get them to change their business model.
We do live in america and we received a ticket in my email for parking eye. We bought £50 of petrol at Tesco hythe super store Colchester. We are older people my husband pumped the petrol and our church administrator went in with £50 and paid for it. Not once did we consider that he money would not be put into the register. I have called parkingeye and tesco does not have a phone number that you can call unless you have a secret 5 digit code.At our age we do not pump and run we are all retired and not living on the edge. Being trusting we never thought the girl should have printed off a ticket now we ask to see the ctv camera which parking eye states tesco has for 30 days but we cannot get thru to them. Can anyone help us with the correct number and code to speak to a live agent.
Same situation, I paid, they said, I got a message saying it was paid, I didn't even look, a week later I come back to fill up again, everything is the same, the message said it was paid, a month later I get a letter with a fine that I didn't pay for the fuel, a different amount was charged, the operator didn't calculate the fuel, shell Ipswich centerhow to bring them to justice
If I could rate it a 0, I would. Absolutely useless staff. No interest in resolving issues. I was wrongly charged £35 admin fee because they claim that I did not pay my £20.06 petrol. The payment did not come out which I had not realised BUT, the petrol station that I went to does not release the petrol handle until you tap your card - I tapped it, it beeped and then the handle released so I could use it. There was therefore the obvious and reasonable assumption that it had been paid. It was £20 only so I didn’t even check my bank account - given that the handle does not even release until you pay, it made sense to assume that payment had been taken. Now due to a fault in THEIR system, I have been charged an admin fee for something that was not my fault and then received no help whatsoever. My email was completely disregarded and I have now had to pay £55.06 for petrol that had initially cost £20.06. Ridiculous that nothing is being done and that the petrol station’s one job - taking the payment once your card has been tapped - was not completed and has therefore left me out of pocket for something that is not my fault.
I really wish I could give no stars. This is probably the most unprofessional firm I have ever dealt with. I paid my bill in Tesco garage but the fuel had not been added to the bill. A MONTH later I get a letter from this company DATED 13th MARCH but didnt arrive until the 18th MARCH demanding the cost of the fuel and a £35 admin charge and that if I dont pay straight away it will go up to £100 plus legal charges.Point to note there is no address or telephone number on the letter for contact so if you are not able to use a QR code reader or access a website you are completely stuck.I scanned the QR code and found a telephone number which when you call says there are no operators available and cuts you off, so I went on line and filled in their online form PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN WAIT UP TO 14 DAYS FOR A RESPONSE THERE GOES THE £100 (No company email address or customer service address) and explained my problem the reply came "Appeals against the administration charges are not accepted if you failed to ensure you made a successful payment for the fuel at the point of sale your enquiry is now closed" what an absolute shambles. I am now waiting for bank transfer details as I refuse to put my card number in their online payment. I have spoken to Tesco and they are trying to deal with this for me as they would be happy for me to just pay the fuel cost but ESSO have passed it to this company.
Disgusting experience with this company. My husband had seen the cashier at the Tesco fuel station and believed the payment successful, for whatever reason it wasn’t and the cashier did not say so. This company want £35 admin fee!!I called them and they were horrendous, no complaints procedure no manager to speak to an no appeal process. Thankfully we went to see the garage and spoke with the manager who said he would watch the CCTV for us to see what happened. They have offered us £35 in vouchers to compensate the daylight robbery of this company. Awful experience.
