Totally cheap and over priced products Poor customer service I brought a leather bracelet , it’s completely falling apart after 6 months. Leather coated on top of string. Wear and tear they said . Also it’s not full leather. There wording appeal of leather. Completely rude staff , Stay away from Micheal Hill Read the reviews..
The sales person product knowledge of earrings I was looking to buy for my wife was very poor. The earrings I bought were in fact helix earrings which my wife cannot wear. Upon returning to the store, I was advised they could not process a return and I should contact customer service. I subsequently emailed customer service along with photos of the helix earrings against my wife's ear and was told I could not return them to buy a pair my wife could wear (they were $300). This was extremely disappointing considering I have purchased more than $6k of jewellery from MH over the years. They have lost my business.
This $2,400 diamond bracelet has just broken for the fourth time. Yes, we have life time cover to get it fixed but I am SICK of getting it fixed. It breaks from very gentle snags (design fault) and then I'm told it's not designed to be worn all of the time? What is the point of having jewellery if you can't wear it? This isn't the first faulty product I have purchased from MHJ either. The diamond in my engagement ring has fallen out on 3 separate occasions. MHJ masss produce and fail to deliver on quality. I will never purchase from this company again. Over 2K wasted and for what? I never get to wear it because it always needs to be fixed!!!! I have a photo I am happy to attach to this review. We were told we could not get a refund, and I would like to know why! We were sold a poor quality product that cannot be worn. BUYER BEWARE
Poor customer service. My husband had bought an eternity ring sometime ago. After few years, a few diamond pieces fell off from the channels of the ring. It was fixed, and I was told that the Chanel's aren't that deep and these diamond are factory set, so keep an eye on it. True to his words after few years I've lost few diamond pieces again. So now the company refuses to fix it, saying the ring is too old. It's wear and tear😲. I know for sure that I look after my rings and I have all my other rings much older than this one with no issues. I've been married 45 yrs. now. I was told to take it elsewhere, if I wanted fixed. Really, MH can't fix it, but they know someone else can!!!. They refuse to admit it's factory fault. For their information I had it fixed at my local jeweller for an affordable price. Thank you Prince Jewellers, Sunnybank Hills, Brisbane. Go to them if you're reading this and don't waste your time with MH. Poor Customer Care!!!
Received a MH chain as a gift. Not my style so went to store to exchange. Was told 30 day limit in exchanges. This was not written on the receipt & the staff did not mention this to my grandmother knowing this was a gift. The Sherway Gardens store said need to call the 1-800 customer service in Australia. Called was told nothing they can do. Not even a simple exhange that was 3 days past the 30 day mark. The Sherway staff knew this. Awful company who don’t care about customer satisfaction. DON’T SHOP THERE!! Money Grab Company.
I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Michael Hill, which I believe potential customers should be aware of. I made a substantial purchase of jewelry, including a ring and earrings, totalling over $9000. Despite the high value of this order, my experience with their customer service and return policy was deeply disappointing.Within hours of receiving my order, I found the quality of the ring to be unsatisfactory and decided to return it. Although I acted swiftly and followed the advice of their sales agent to initiate an exchange, the store manager claimed he needed approval, and my request was inexplicably denied. It’s worth noting that neither I nor the store manager could identify any defects or signs of wear on the ring without a microscope, calling into question their claim of significant wear caused by me.This incident has left me feeling trapped and cheated by Michael Hill. Despite their advertised 30-day return policy, my attempt to return a high-value item due to dissatisfaction was obstructed by what appears to be deceptive sales tactics. The lack of transparency and accountability in handling my return is alarming and suggests a pattern of behavior aimed at trapping customers into keeping unsatisfactory products.I urge anyone considering a purchase from Michael Hill to be wary of their customer service and the actual quality of products versus their high price points. This experience has demonstrated a disregard for customer satisfaction and ethical business practices, making it hard for me to trust or recommend Michael Hill.
Quality is very bad. Their sterling silver jewelry tarnish quickly and the quality is the worst I have ever purchased. Returns are out of the question because their sales is low and can’t wait to sell an item not to accept it to be returned. Their manager was on the phone ignoring customers. Bad bad bad
Poor quality, terrible service and bad communication! Stay away. I was warned and did not listen now I’m paying for it.I purchased a tennis bracelet and loved it. I was wearing it to work and was telling everyone about how wonderful it was. I loved it so much that I bought a second one, bigger!I started wearing the bigger one and within a week the clasp broke. I took it into the store and they “fixed it” and within 3 days it broke again.I went back into the store and they were looking at me like I was crazy with 2 heads! They kept telling me to leave it with them and they would have it fixed and I refused. I told them that if I’m spending this kind of money that I wanted it on me. It took for me to put my foot down and cause a scene. I demanded a refund. They tried to reface it but the ones they showed me just did not look the same. A tennis bracelet set in 10 carat gold should not be breaking 2 weeks out of the shop. May bet if it was set in 22 or 24 carat! They made me feel like I was over reacting. They begrudgingly refunded my money and thank god!I went home and put the initial bracelet that I bought, thinking, at least this one is ok! It snapped!I took in into the shop and have had to pay $75.00 to have it fixed. Now I don’t want to wear it in case it breaks again as I know they will charge me for it.Wast of money and time. Never again!
Stay the hell away from this "jewelry" retailer. Being somewhat of an expert in jewelry, my beef with this company is the extremely shoddy quality of their products and the quality of gold they use in manufacturing. This company is shockingly bad. I would permanently avoid this retailer , in the branded world of jewelry where the price to material ratio is always super high, unfortunately Michael Hill falls very short. This is basically junk jewelry that's dressed up as premium jewelry. This is not anywhere close to Tiffany, Cartier or David Yurman quality, this garbage is leagues below. Read what I wrote again: the jewelry they stock and source is garbage quality. Stay away for that reason alone!
