Avoid Avoid Avoid !

My vacuum which was purchased in October last year, suddenly stopped working. I contacted customer services who arranged for it to be collected next day, what great service I thought ! Fast forward three weeks and despite numerous calls and emails my vacuum is apparently still sitting in their "technical hub" waiting to be looked at ! I dread to think how long it will then take to be actually repaired. Appalling service. I will definitely not buy another Miele product.

Extremely disappointing support

UPDATE:Unfortunately, despite forwarding all requested correspondence nearly a month ago, I have still not received any response from Miele.Extremely disappointing support, unjustified charges, and alarming lack of leadershipAs a long-time Miele customer, I am deeply frustrated by my recently bought KMDA 7272 cooktop in Denmark and its persistent odor issues. Despite using all recommended filters and following all instructions, the problem continues—a fact that is well-documented on Miele’s own website. What stands out even more than the product flaw is the complete lack of competent leadership at Miele. Throughout my correspondence, I was constantly rerouted to different employees who seemed to have no decision-making authority or accountability. Responses felt copy-pasted and dismissive, with nobody willing or able to truly address my concerns. Even when I specifically asked to speak directly with someone in charge, my requests were ignored, and I was forced to deal with a revolving door of representatives who simply quoted the same rigid policies and threatened debt collection.Instead of providing real customer support, Miele insisted on sending a technician—despite this being a well-known product limitation, not user error or a defect. As predicted, the visit was pointless, offered no new information, and did nothing to solve the issue. Miele then invoiced me for this unnecessary service and refused to remove the charge, showing no willingness to take responsibility for their own product's shortcomings. This experience clearly reflects a company with poor leadership, little oversight, and no control over its employees. No one at Miele seems empowered to resolve issues, offer real solutions, or demonstrate basic accountability. It feels like the organization is running on autopilot—preoccupied with billing, not helping customers. In summary:Miele refuses to acknowledge or take responsibility for a widely recognized product issue.Support is ineffective: employees are powerless and unresponsive, and leadership is entirely absent.I was charged for a useless technician visit, despite the root cause being a flaw in the product's design.Communication was defensive, dismissive, and lacked any genuine customer care.Sadly, this experience has destroyed my trust in Miele. If you expect premium service and accountability to match a premium price, look elsewhere. I can no longer recommend Miele and will certainly reconsider any future purchases.

We recently renovated our kitchen and…

We recently renovated our kitchen and chose Miele products because we had used them in our previous home and were extremely satisfied with the brand’s quality. Unfortunately, our experience with the new products has been deeply disappointing. The stove, in particular, was the worst choice we could have made. The burners take an excessive amount of time to ignite, and even after lighting, they continue making a loud, persistent noise. I’ve timed it—on several occasions, the noise has lasted 2 to 3 minutes, even while I was already cooking. This is simply unacceptable for a high-end appliance. An even more serious issue is that the burner caps cannot be removed for cleaning. They are screwed in, and even after removing the screws, they don’t come off because they are connected to the igniter wires. How is it possible to design a stove that doesn’t allow for proper cleaning? It’s obvious that a product as heavily used as a stove must allow for easy removal and washing of its most exposed parts.Within less than a month of use, I found myself completely disappointed with the brand—something I never imagined could happen with Miele. I purchased the product in November 2024, which means it hasn’t even been a full year, and the experience has been nothing but frustrating. The unbearable noise each time I try to light a burner only makes matters worse. Honestly, I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Shocking Attitude taken on Warranty

Very disappointing stance taken by Customer Service.Dishwasher purchased 25/5/2023Developed a fault 18/5/25 (Daughter discovered as we were away)- within the 2 year warranty.Called Customer Service 29/5/25 om our return from holiday.Despite accepting the circumstances the Customer Service department refused to treat it as a warranty claim and charged accordingly.Firstly buying a premium appliance for £1k +, it is not expected to develop a fault.Secondly to take this attitude is shocking!

Miele dishwasher broken twice two years after to purchase

I purchased a Miele Dishwasher in February 2023. I had previously owned a Miele dishwasher which never gave me a problem in 22 years. In July 2024 (just over 1 year later), the diaphragm burst and I was informed that it was due to an airlock in my pipe and water pressure changes as the council had allegedly worked on pipes in the area. It cost me over R6000 to have the repairs done which I reluctantly did. I was informed the part was not covered under the warranty. A month ago (May 2025) the diaphragm burst again. The technician has just informed me that it’s due to airlocks in the pipes and Council working on pipes in the area again. (He seems to know a lot about what council does in my area)! I have references from neighbours around me who own Bosch dishwashers, who confirm that they have never had a problem even though they live in my immediate area (1 behind me). Surely these neighbours would also experience problems with their machines if it was a pipe issues and council related problems? I’m getting the runaround from Miele. I’m going legal and I will also be reporting this to the consumer council. I want my money back. I have never been this disappointed with an appliance ever before, and I regret the day I bought the Miele dishwasher. In hindsight, I should’ve bought a Bosch!

Unreliable with false quality claims

Bought a coffee machine thinking I was buying a quality reliable product. Worked reasonably well then broke then was fixed under warranty. After another year the machine has displayed all manor of faults and now is only useful for a warm cup of milk. The infuriating thing is they want over £300 to fix a machine that supposedly can last 20 years. I am locking into options to report this company for false claims

Miele warranty now only an appauling 2 years..was 10

Really disappointed that a suposedly top end product that Miele makes cant have a 10 year warranty without the need to go and purchase one from Domestic and General. 2 years for the price of a Miele washing machine is appauling and there are so many other manufacturers doing 5 year as standard for a lot less.Had the money to replace my Miele but because of this decision to reduce warranty to 2 years went and bought elsewhere and got 5 years for under half the cost of the Miele. Therefore could replace with a brand new machine after 5 years and still have the 10 year warranty and be quids in. Miele management need to radically rethink this poor decision

waschine machine breaks after 2 years and 4 months + terrible customer service

I bought a washing machine, which was top rated in a well known german consumer product testing organization, but it broke down after 2 years and 4 months. Upon contacting cusomer service, I was given a date (10 days after initial call), where a mechanic would come to us to look at the machine, and was told I would be contacted within a day with follow up information. Also I was told, that thex would try to provide me with a date earlier than that. I was never contacted again. The following three days, I was always told the same, that they are working and I would be contacted again that very day with more information. Today, 7 days after my initial call, I was told, that there is no date marked in their system, and the next free day a mechanic could come out would be in 11 more days, and that someone would call me back with more information within a day. I also did not receive this call.

Outstanding customer experience !

We had an issue with our old fridge freezer which could not be repaired The quite serious problem was eventually picked up by Miele via a Senior Service Business Support after my complaint The level of support and communication from her was truly exceptional I’d been in senior sales roles for decades and know well that issues will arise from time to time The key to a great customer experience is how they are addressed and how quickly they are resolvedMiele replaced our F/F after a few weeks with a brand new model and it’s excellent I really cannot fault how Miele addressed the issue for us

Not the Miele of Old – A Disappointing Experience from a Long-Time Customer

As a loyal Miele customer of over 25 years, I write this review with real disappointment. I have nearly every domestic appliance the company manufactures in my home and have long trusted the brand for its quality and longevity. Sadly, that trust has been seriously undermined.I purchased the TWR860WP Eco&Steam tumble dryer for £2,200—at the very top end of Miele’s already premium range. For context, that’s the equivalent of four Bosch dryers or eight from Beko. I expected a product that would last, with service to match.Unfortunately, a leak developed in the dryer, which was stacked above my washing machine. Mistakenly, I initially assumed the washing machine was the source. By the time I identified the true cause, the warranty had expired. A Miele technician, who admitted he’d never seen a similar fault, replaced the part. I was left with a £350 bill for what I still believe was a manufacturing defect.Despite my long-standing loyalty and the unusual nature of the fault, Miele refused to show any flexibility on the repair cost. Worse still, their debt collection partner, DCB Legal, then sent conflicting claims for £250 and £550, failed to respond to any of my requests for clarification, and proceeded with legal action—even after I had paid Miele £250 directly. I have now paid an additional £100 towards their legal costs, simply to put the matter to rest. This experience has been both frustrating and disheartening. Miele's once-great reputation for standing behind its products appears to be slipping. For anyone considering a Miele appliance, I would strongly recommend booking a technician visit just before your warranty ends. It may be the only way to gain peace of mind that your investment is still performing as it should.
