Incomplete cistern assembly sent. The bag which my item came in was already opened and they had removed the seal for the cistern assembly. I emailed them and they accused me of opening the bag so they wouldn't send me a replacement seal.Why would I take it and request a replacement; there is no point in me having 2 seals is there.Stupid company, do not use.
Bought a handle that was meant to include a fulcrum. Waited up to 4 days for delivery, then went on holiday before it arrived. After my holiday, I went to fit the handle and fulcrum, only to find the fulcrum was missing. They told me that all items are checked before dispatch, and because I had not checked within 48 hours, which was obviously not possible, that I can do one. Did not try to listen to my reasons. This company is to be avoided like the plague.
The Serel Prelude toilet seat arrived in battered packaging and did not seem to be in new condition, as the hinges were already fitted and there were no instructions included. The seat did not fit the toilet and it took 6 weeks of email exchanges before MTS agreed to accept a return. Even then, they insisted on an 'unopened hinge pack' which I could not provide, having never received one. Although MTS did engage with me by email they employed the tactic of repeatedly requesting photos of the seat in and out of its original packaging, justifying this by saying that they were trying to help me to fit it, and blaming my lack of skill when this was not possible. It seemed that they would do anything to avoid accepting a return and providing a refund.In desperation I eventually looked for a Complaints Procedure on the MTS website but could not find one, so wrote my own letter of complaint, to which they did respond, but still did not offer a refund. Finally, intending to make a Section 75 claim, I realised that I would have to return the seat without gaining prior approval, and at last, 3 months after making the initial purchase, MTS promptly repaid me.This was a saga that I would never wish to repeat and would like to warn anyone contemplating making a purchase from this firm to consider how much time they wish to waste in attempting to obtain a refund if anything goes wrong.
I had to chase my order as it didn't arrive. Turns out another house in my street had also ordered from them and they got confused. I ordered two identical toilet seats. One arrived with faulty hinges that became loose over the following months so I asked for a replacement under guarantee. 1 month later and without communicating with me, a packet of parts for a new hinge arrived through my door without enough screws. I was able to use the original ones to refit the seat and it's now ok. They solved the problem but didn't make it easy. No instructions were provided for this or the original order.
Was a bit worried about ordering due to some of the reviews, but having seen the fact that there was a response against every bad review I went ahead and contacted the company with a query I had before ordering, and I can only say positive things about the company and this email query was replied to within the hour and so I subsequently ordered a part which was received very quickly within two days.
