I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Safelite for my glass replacement. My appointment time wasn’t honored, and I waited far longer than expected with little to no communication from the staff. When the job was finally finished, the quality of the installation was poor — the glass wasn’t sealed properly, and they acted like it was no big deal and didn’t want to fix it. For the price I paid, I expected professional service and reliable workmanship, but instead, I received delays, poor communication, and sloppy work. I won’t be returning and would not recommend them.

This company does not care…

This company does not care about the quality of their work and will make no effort beyond the bare minimum to help you. I took my daughter's car to repair a stone chip. The repair failed two days later, so I scheduled a windshield replacement. They never showed up for the appointment. I was told the technician called in sick that day. I rescheduled the appointment, but when the technician did show up, he didn't have the correct parts to complete the job, so did not replace the windshield. I rescheduled the appointment again and the technician arrived and indicated he did not have the correct parts again to complete the job. I had made calls to confirm they were bringing all the necessary parts beforehand. I spoke with the Manager (Dan - Athens, GA) and he indicated they could not get the parts and they would be unable to replace my windshield. I called one other glass shop and they found the parts right away and had the windshield replaced. Safelite is incompetent and didn't seem to care. They offered no apologies, just that the parts were not available when they clearly were. Never again with Safelite.

Tech cancelled appointment the morning…

Tech cancelled appointment the morning the repair was to be made. He said my home was out of his service route radius. After several hours of unsuccessfully trying to find the safelite store’s phone number on line, I had to call my insurance company who then placed me on a 3 -way call with shop. The manager said I was 10 minutes out of the repair zone and could not make the appointment.

I’M PROOF SAFELITE DOES NOT WARRANTY…

I’M PROOF SAFELITE DOES NOT WARRANTY OLDER CARS. SAFELITE IS THE TEMU OF WINDOW REPAIR.They damaged my convertible top to the point that it would no longer close.Safelite lied to the insurance company, my car was old, and my top didn’t work after returning 5x to hear lies from manager Justin, who lies as he breathes. Advocate: CA Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) ww.bar.ca.gov, who wasn’t surprised by Safelite's incompetence and documented that my car is in perfect working order, and directed me to professional resources. Contacted CBS for a story reaching 5 million; they had so many complaints about Safelite, they didn’t know where to start. They send complaints to BAR.Safelite is currently being sued by multiple states, including CA. Poorly rated with millions of complaints across the nation.Local respected vendor, took one look, wasn’t surprised it was a Safelite cockup, and in 20 minutes had the problem solved. Safelite techs, manager, and quality assurance don’t have the bandwidth in brain cells to put the parts they should never have touched back in the right place.

On July 29, 2025, I made a bad review for Safelite; but today, July 30, 2025, the technician, Derek came to my house and did an excellent job to resolve my issues with my windshield replacement; redeeming Safelite and causing me to recant my previous review

3rd appointment scheduled for…

I have my 3rd appointment scheduled for this upcoming Friday. The first was canceled as I was told because the replacement came in scratched. The second one in Okemos Mi a longer drive of 40 min. was today and I was told after sitting there for an hour and a half for my scheduled appointment that they were missing a part (windshield wiper heater) and need to reschedule. Had no empathy at all, was curt and short and seemed to not care at all. The manager never came out. They have a monopoly right now and it’s showing. The insurance company claims that push you to them have do the work has closed a lot of the small competitors. You can’t even get anyone in corporate on the phone. One of the worst experiences as a customer I have ever had.

Avoid Safelite!!!!!!

I had my vehicle windshield replaced at the the Safelite location near me. The quality of the glass product installed was acceptable, however the quality of the installation was terrible. The vehicle was returned to me with dirty hand prints and marks on the beige headliner, a greasy substance on the passenger leather seat, a pinched wire/ cable on the plastic mirror mount cover, uninstalled cowl securing fasteners, improperly installed fender well boots that attach to the cowl, and a broken alignment pin that I found in my center console. Not only was the quality of the installation subpar, they did not fully reinstall the vehicle components nor were they honest in reporting that they broke a plastic component. It happens. I know, I have worked on vehicles for 60 plus years. This company should be avoided like the plague. These issues were reported to Safelite through their satisfaction survey and no response has been received to date.

My experience them with Safelite was horrible

My experience them with Safelite was very negligence. I had to be rescheduled three times in order for my windshield to be fixed. There were also derogatory comments that align with racial comments being made by a worker that was very unprofessional. I’ve reached out to their corporate office several times to try to get this handled. Spoken with several managers that have ghosted me not followed up with me. Made me feel as if I wasn’t a priority. Left me having anxiety attacks, insomnia, where I can’t sleep. I had to go to the hospital. They didn't leave a good lasting impression for a company that is as big as them to assist me in my problems.

I prepaid nearly $300 for Safelite to…

I prepaid nearly $300 for Safelite to come to my home and replace the windshield in my truck. The appointment was scheduled for Saturday between 12:00 and 5:00 PM. Saturday morning, I received a call saying the windshield arrived damaged and they needed to reschedule. Frustrating, but I understood, things happen.A new appointment was made for that following Monday, again between 12:00 and 5:00 PM at my home. But on Sunday evening, I saw an email saying I was scheduled to bring my truck to their Hattiesburg location between 7:30 and 9:30 AM. That’s a 40-minute drive from where I live, and I had no windshield!I called customer service multiple times Monday morning, and after being bounced around, someone from the shop finally called me back just to tell me I didn’t even have an appointment, they claimed I was only scheduled to be “notified” if my glass came in. So why send an email telling me to drive to the shop?I had already been without my truck for nearly two weeks trying to save up the money for this repair, and they completely wasted my time. Poor communication, no accountability, and terrible customer service. Never again. This was my first and last experience with Safelite.
