DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IN IRELAND

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE IN IRELANDIn December 30 2024 I made an order from Lenovo for a new computer. After a few days Lenovo provided with me with a UPS tracking number. I was checking the tracking number on a daily basis. The parcel followed a normal route from China, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi, Germany, and after a few days reached in Dublin.Once the parcel reached in Dublin, January 15th, my trouble started. It's supposed that driver came to deliver the parcel on January 16th, but he "could not", because he needed an access number!!!I do not think that the driver ever appeared, since we are working from home, and we are always there. We didn't see anybody. So since he "could not" deliver, UPS decided to return the package to the Sender, without calling me before.By the way the tracking number was linked with my UPS application and all my details name, address, phone number, apartment number, are registered. The driver never called, never rang the bell. Amazon does, DPD does, Ann post same, we do not have issues with the rest companies. So the brilliant minds of UPS decided to return the laptop to the sender through the UK, for an item which has been bought in the EU (.ie website). Now the laptop is stuck over there, so Lenovo cannot get the laptop and send it back to me.As we know the UK is not in the EU anymore, which means trouble with the customs, which means it's UPS issue to deliver the package regardless this matter.I have called UPS again and again nobody is giving me a clear answer. They just telling me that the laptop will be sent back to the sender which is not true because the message in the UPS tracking systems says that the laptop the package will be disposed according to the UK local law. It is stuck there over ten days.Currently due to UPS issue I am losing my money, my parcel and my time for a service for which I have already paid.Nobody wants to help in their support, they are rude and hang up the phone.

Avoid!

I was waiting for a delivery, when i received an email notification that it couldn't be delivered, so was being sent back to the supplier. Couldn't understand why it couldn't be delivered when it had the correct address and eircode, so called customer service to find out what I could do to resolve the situation. After eventually getting through to a real person, I asked if I could drive to their depot to pick up the package myself. I was informed that this could be done once I received an email notification that it was ready for collection. Later that day I received the email, and drove to the depot to collect my package. On arriving I gave my tracking number and name, and my package was brought to the counter, I asked what had happened that it couldn't be delivered despite the eircode being clearly visible, and was informed that it hadn't even been on a van for delivery! So it was basically being returned with no attempt to actually deliver to me.

Always Issues With UPS, They Are Useless, Avoid!!!

Every single parcel that UPS deliver to me takes a very long time or they don't deliver at all. On one occasion I had to drive 40 Kms to meet the driver, so that was an 80 km round trip to pick up a package the driver wasn't going to deliver on a Friday !This last example, I'm waiting on a parcel from the Netherlands, it arrives in Finglas, Dublin in 3 days, 4 days later it's still not delivered to me in Carlow an 85 Km trip. It went from Finglas to Roscommon, now I see it's back in Finglas, it's around 160 Km trip, this means the package has travelled at least 320 Kms from when it arrived in Finglas which was the first destination after the Airport, that's 320 Kms when I live 85 Kms from Finglas, even if they deliver it tomorrow it will have travelled at least 405 Kms before it will have been delivered to me. Tomorrow is the 5 th day since it arrived into Ireland and it only took 3 days to get from the Netherlands to Ireland but it takes 5 days to deliver from a depot 85 Kms away ? that's if they deliver it tomorrow at all. One major issue with UPS is that the majority of their drivers if not all of them are contractors, UPS don't care about customer service to non business customers. I would avoid using UPS at all costs, if the company you are ordering from does not show you the company who will be delivering your package then email and ask, if they only use UPS then order from a different website. My partner's parcel took 2 weeks for UPS to deliver recently, same thing, parcel bouncing too and from UPS depot to UPS depot. UPS are an utter joke in Ireland. If I could give 0 or - stars for UPS I would rate them at -10 because there is always issues with UPS !I get deliveries from other couriers all the time no issue DPD and DHL are excellent , it's always UPS that is the problem !

Don’t give accurate updates

Don’t give accurate updates. Too slow - two days in a row said ‘delivery by end of day’ just to update to reschedule for next day. Just put accurate timings in the first place!!!

No delivery and no solution

I've purchased an item from Vestiaire on 02/01/25 that was supposed to be delivered up to 11/01/25, the item was scheduled to be delivered on 10/01 then rescheduled to 13/01 and failed both times, since then, UPS and Vestiaire are been pushing to each other and no one solve the issue or agree with my request, refunding me for this purchase as per request.Support through chat or email only ask me patience and mentioning that I'll have to wait up to 30 days in order for them to take a resolution like refunding me. They say, they have to wait the carrier inform them what happened with this. It's extremely poor the quality support of either (Vetiaire and UPS) and no one come with a solution and today passed 9 days from the max delivery date informed initially.

Incapable of delivering parcels

Incapable of delivering parcels. Twice with this company now I have had to ask collect parcels from the depot myself as they refuse to put it on a van for no appearant reason and keep it sitting there in the depot. I contacted their customer service who rang and said it would be delivered the next day which was a lie. Terrible service and will ask vendors to avoid sending parcels through them in the future.

Never EVER meet delivery times.

UPS is the worst of the couriers that serve my area. EVERY solitary time they miss the delivery date. Today my son, who is autistic, waited all day for his package, they send 4 updates telling us it's coming and then they said we weren't in. While we were inside the house with light on waiting until 7.19pm. Three years ago they threw our package in our neighbours garden and it got soaked, we found it 2 weeks later. No apology. Horrible to deal with and impossible to depend on.

Great experience in Finglas

Brought small packet to Finglas depot. Although they do not accept these at the counter (must be done online), Stephen was most accomodating helping me to fill in online (I'm a 70 year old dinosaur) and guided me through the process. A kind helpful man. Thank you Stephen.
