here is my experience with my S class Mercedesin 2004 i bought a 2002 s320 in 2006 the whole dash board burned because of a faulty clockMercedes refused to repair as the car was out of warranty even it was established at the time that Mercedes made recalls because of this problem and was told my car no on their recall list in 2009 i bought 2008 s320 in 2012 i had to replace the engine on 65000 miles after one of the valves caused the engine to goagain isn't engine management suppose to stop the car from working if there is a problemin 2015 i bought S400 hybrid1-here is the experience i had air condition stopped working after few month car spent 1 month at Mercedes to be fixed2-gear box problem at 34000 miles3- life traffic not working Mercedes trying to establish the fault yet they do not know what itsfor an 85000 pounds car you would think the company would come out with a perfect product i think if i bought a Chinese car for tenth of this price the components would last longerMost of the chauffeuring companies in the UK get rid of their cars once the warranty expire because they have no faith that Mercedes cars would not give problems after the warranty endssome manufacturers like Toyota give 5 years warranty because they guaranty and know the quality of their cars my car started having all sort of problems from 10000 miles my advice to every one after 3 S class cars Never buy the S class it will cause you all sort of problems
Just traded in my Mercedes for a new one and from the time I met the salesman Jay Wake the whole experience was nothing short of superb. If anyone out there is thinking of buying a Mercedes be it new or used I would recommend this dealership as they make the whole experience a real pleasure.Maureen Roberts
tried to phone Lancaster Motors, Southend on sea to book my car in for its first MOT. Telephone eventually gets answered, not unusual for this place, girl tries to put me through to the extension, no answer as always, takes my numbers tells me they will phone me back, i did ask if it could possible be today. No phone call. Telephoned back myself, eventually get through. After service is absolutely rubbish at this garage. Have bought three mercedes from them this year, will not be buying a fourth. They kept my sons car for two weeks recently when he booked in for a MOT i will be waiting for mine.
Bought a Smart forfour through Mercedes-Benz of Huddersfield. For the first 12 months I was happy with the car and it ran well.. Then it hit the second year.. The faults started coming thick and fast, first was the update to the Sat nav. No biggie. 2nd was the alarm developed a fault and was going off constantly the 3rd was then the alarm failed to activate when the car got broken into. The rear panel of glass was simply pulled away from the body work and it just shattered. The catch stayed intact. 4th was the car was running so bad it would struggle to stay awake in idle. 5th then the start stop would leave me stranded at junctions. 6th, the car then simply refused to start. Mercedes-Benz of Manchester changed the battery. 7th, the car again refused to start. Mercedes-Benz of Manchester took 7 weeks to do nothing to it and returned it back in an appalling manner. 8th, the car was returned, struggling to start and when it finally turn over the car had an issue with its brakes or suspension.Nearly 4 months later, Mercedes Benz of Manchester still have my car and couldn't care less.Appalling company. Mercedes Benz finance won't help. Mercedes-Benz if Huddersfield aren't interested. Received lies and ignorance from Karina Orlando after her so called investigation into this matter and the rejection of the car. Took over two weeks to tell me she wasn't interested in the issue, putting words in my mouth and quite happily putting me in the direction of the ombudsman without attempting to offer any sort of solution. She did not attempt to contact Mercedes-Benz of Manchester and did not get any details from myself. The car is on a 3 year PCP that is due to end in October 2018. It will be out of warranty 6 months before that and will also require its Mot. What's the guarantee that when the car gets handed back they will find issues with the starter motor. Currently trying to pay the outstanding amount on the PCP agreement so I can hand the car back and even that's a struggle.
Well here we are again........ another flat tyre! This will be the 10th....yes the 10th in twenty moths of having my E350d. I've now passed the £5,000 mark in costs associated with wheels and tyres.Waiting for Mercedes Breakdown and Europcar to supply a replacement vehicle. It's 2pm and I've been waiting since before 10am. Ironically I'm actually waiting at the Mercedes dealership in Aberdeen. They don't carry stock of the run flat tyres and I've been told earlier by Kevin at Mercedes in Glasgow Giffnock that they are on 'back order' so could take up to a month. Well to date my car has been off the road for over a month due to this wheel and tyre issue which Mercedes will take no responsibility for. I'm stuck with this car for years due to the lease arrangement, at this rate if things go the way they have I will be spending another £10,000 on wheels and tyres.Daylight robbery Mercedes...........
WHERE IS THE NO STAR OPTION. I own two Mercs, and they will be my last. Nice cars but they don't know how to service them and God forbid if you breakdown in Europe. Broke down in France and been waiting since 5pm last night for recovery and its now 10.30am. P1ss ups and brewery's spring to mind. Zero communications and just pass from one operator to another. As for service, well sending cars out with missing wheel nuts is my personal highlight. #offbacktoAudi

I bought an approved used Mercedes Benz A-Class AMG Line A200 from Mercedes Benz of Hull- Listers in August 2017. ( a year old, 16 plate) to which I was told this was only driven by the Mercedes Benz staff as their company car. The car has been back to the branch 3 times since then. The first time a month later (September) with low pressure light (front left tyre) showing after the tyre being blown up several times in one week. The car was sent back, I was told there was no slow puncture and to contact again if it was to happen after I got the car back. The low pressure light and message continued to show for the same tyre when the car was returned, so I contacted the service team, I was told the car would have to go back in to be checked. I booked the car back in, the car was picked up (I was left with a courtesy car) and taken back. I received a phone call saying they STILL couldn’t find a slow puncture and there was nothing wrong with the system. They returned the car (to my knowledge nothing had been done to the car as I wasn’t told of any issues) The tyre pressure light continued to show for the front left tyre (this isn’t a small journey for me, minimum 1 hour from home, besting in mind Mercedes Benz of Hull never returned the car with fuel, it was always on the light) so the car was sent back for the third time! I then received a phone call saying it was going to cost me £110 for a new tyre as I had caused the damage! Even though this car had been returned around 3 weeks after receiving it - I didn’t have time to damage it! By this point I was very frustrated and refused to pay for something that was already faulty when I bought the car - to where I was told, the front RIGHT tyre was replaced last time (for free, I was never told there was anything wrong with this tyre, I never had an issue personally) and they weren’t going to do this one for free too. ( I reported the LEFT tyre every time the car went back) After I had paid for the tyre, the car was returned to me. I then received a letter a month later saying there was a fault with my model, the air bag had been enabled on the passenger side (this happened to me once, but never after that so I thought I would let I slide) Since this, the fuel cap has opened numerous times on its own - when driving at high speeds, a message comes or the dash board and bleeps stating this is open. I give up! I am completely fed up with the issues I have had with this approved used car! This is not the kind of service you expect from ‘Mercedes Benz’ especially with it being a previous ompany car! The lack of communication is disgusting and I am pretty sure most of the staff don’t know their left from right! I will never return to this garage for another vehicle.. utterly shocked!!!
3 weeks of receiving my new Mercedes C220 I received a letter from Mercedes that my car was being recalled due to a fault with the boot. I promptly returned the car. The car was replaced via a partner enterprise rent a car, which was an old C class car that was dirty, no satellite navigation or media system and almost empty of Diesel. I was told I would have the car returned in a week so I felt this was bearable.14 WEEKS LATER.....still not car returned, multiple messages unreturned and failed promises that the car would be returned. Complete lack of communication. This whole time I am still being charged the full cost for the Brand New Mercedes I which was almost immediately returned to them. I had to turn up to the garage twice due to unreturned calls and the excuse was the satellite navigation system needed replacing and a part had been requested from Germany. They agreed to replace the Enterprise Car which also DID NOT have a satellite navigation system and was dirty. I had a call from Troy to apologise about the situation and they 'he would see what he could do' but no call with a solution on compensation or refund for the payments I had made for a leased car the was sat in a garage while I drove an enterprise rental car.I recently received a letter from Mercedes that my car was bring recalled AGAIN. The second time in less than 12 months. Will I return it? I think not, (we have already been down this road) unless I can return the car to them completely and receive my money back for this awful experience. Had I been told the car would be recalled twice in less than 12 months and held in the garage for 3 months at full cost I would never had purchased the car in the first place. Absolute disgrace from Mercedes.
