the salesman who wrote up my order (for my whole house) told me to contact him if I had any issues in the process as he said "our customer service isn't easy to reach, I'm faster" . He was right about that except he was no more reliable than their poor customer service dept. It took many many calls to him to help me close a sash that was stuck. Luckily it was still summer and I didn't worry about cold getting in. When my air conditioner service man was over, I jokingly asked him if he could help me with it- he fixed it! (Champion sales guy either promised me several times he'd stop by after his appointments that day, but always stood me up.) I had my kitchen window installed and when I saw a black spot, the foreman said it was a gouge, and customer service would re order it. Then while cleaning the windows w/in a day or two of being installed, I noticed my big window in my living room had 3 scratches. I immediately called customer service, and could only leave a message with my problem. No one ever calls you back. I lost count of how many times I called customer service, and how many hours I wasted waiting on hold to talk to someone. When I finally did get to speak to someone, they assured me they knew about my kitchen window. I had to report the scratches on the living room window several times, and when the kitchen window finally came in, the installer was ready to collect my final payment. I said Champion will get the payment when the living room window is in and perfect. He showed no record of it ever being ordered, even tho I was assured on the phone it was in the works. All in all , absolutely MISERABLE customer service and sloppy installers that damaged some walls when the windows were installed. And damaged windows should never be sent to your house to be installed! Poor quality control!!! Whole aggravating experience took 7 months to complete!
Updated 11/7/2024I had high hopes when I signed a contract with Champion Windows in February 2024 for a custom enclosure on my second-story deck, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating, disappointing, and unprofessional—even reaching the executive level.Key Issues & Timeline:February 8, 2024: Signed the contract. The sales process was smooth, and I felt confident in Champion’s promises.February 17, 2024: During his first visit to my home to verify measurements, the project manager shocked me by exposing himself and urinating on the side of my house. This disturbing, unprofessional behavior was not only unacceptable but set a deeply negative tone for the entire project, and I have yet to receive a formal written apology from Champion for this incident.May-June 2024: Despite my repeated follow-ups, there was no clear communication on project progress. Conversations were vague and provided no real updates.August 1, 2024: After months of delays, the permit application was finally submitted to Thurston County—much later than expected due to miscommunication and errors within Champion’s team.September 26, 2024: Thurston County informed us of additional Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) requirements, but Champion failed to inform me. I had to reach out myself to get clarification on these requirements.October 14, 2024: After raising repeated complaints, Champion offered to replace a door and window on my property as compensation. While I appreciated the gesture, it did not address the fundamental issues of mismanagement, lack of professionalism, and extreme delays. I requested a discount to reflect the extensive time and effort I had invested to manage Champion’s responsibilities, but this was denied.October 31 & November 4, 2024: I reached out to Tim Young, a VP at Champion, in the hopes of escalating the matter to get better accountability and communication. Unfortunately, his lack of follow-up and response has only further demonstrated the unprofessionalism I’ve encountered at every level within Champion.Overall Experience & ImpactOver the past 9+ months, I’ve invested more than 80 hours in emails, phone calls, and direct coordination with county officials to manage a project Champion was contracted to handle. This experience has caused over $10,000 in additional costs and lost time. Champion’s inability to manage or communicate about the project has left me without a clear timeline for completion and feeling constantly neglected.ConclusionChampion Windows has failed to meet even the most basic standards of professionalism and customer service. From the project manager’s shocking behavior of exposing himself and urinating on my property to poor communication, endless delays, and unresponsiveness from upper management, this experience has been exhausting and costly. I regret choosing Champion Windows and strongly advise others to consider the numerous poor reviews across platforms like PissedConsumer, Yelp, Trustpilot, and ConsumerAffairs before making a decision.

I ordered a new patio door from Champion on May 1, 2023. It was delivered and installed in August 2023. The door was not made properly, and they also failed to install the screen door. They ordered a new door to be made. That was supposed to take another 2 months (till October). I called and was told the replacement door was also made incorrectly and it would take another few months. In December, before Christmas, I was called, and they said the door was finished at the factory and someone would be calling me to set up an installation date. No one called. I called in January to check on the door. I was told someone would call me back in 24-48 hours. I finally received a text that said they were working with the factory to make the new door. I was confused. I called and texted to ask someone to explain what was going on. No one called or texted me. I finally waited on the phone to talk to someone and would not settle for a message that someone would call me back. After several people, I was told that the factory made the door incorrectly again and it would now be March before the door was ready. I talked to a customer supervisor who said they would put a rush, expedited order on the door to get it sooner. I have been told this before. I would like a representative of the parent company to call me and tell me how they plan to make this up to me. I feel obliged to mention that in 2021, I spent over 30,000 to replace all the windows in my house with champion and I am happy with the windows.Talked to Mickey in Call centerAsked for Kristin – Got voice mailChecked for her boss – got Voice mailTalked to Autumn, Mickey’s boss. She would get to someone.Amanda called me back and apologized for Kristin not calling me back and she will expedite the door.January 16, 2024 I received a call that factory is done. Someone will call me when ready to install.January 29th. I called again. Amanda called me back. I was told one panel is finished and the other one will be done this week.2/13/24 I called again. Amanda was busy. I asked to speak to her boss. Call went to Voice mail. I asked to speak to her boss’s boss..Call went to Voice mail. Agent will send an urgent email to have them contact me.I finally filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Champion was flagged at the BBB as having really bad customer service.Amanda called back. Factory says it is done. Will put it on the next truck to Cincinnati.2/19/24 Amanda called. Parts should be on the truck tomorrow.2/20/24 Amanda called. Parts were not on the truck. She sent another email.2/26/24 Amanda called and left a message. Parts not in. Will email factory again. Will call.2/28/24 Amanda called. Door on truck to Cincy.2/28/24 Parts arrived. Set up installation for Tuesday, 3/5/24 from 12:00 to 4:00.3/5/24 Door finally installed. Looks goodAt no time did Champion offer any sort of compensation for all my time having to call them over and over for almost a year. In fact, I was told that it is Champions policy to not make any monetary reparation in these cases.Needless to say, I will not be doing business with them in the future and will never recommend them to others.
If I could leave negative stars I would. Absolutely unimpressed and let down with this entire company and the way they operate. My family feels as if we were sold a false bill of goods from the very start. The guy that gave us our quote and sold us the windows left off important details for the work order, an unused electrical switch needed to be removed and there was no mention of it anywhere in the paperwork. He also didn't communicate to us that we had to take care of that for the new windows to be installed (however, he told us verbatim, "No problem, we'll take care of it.") at the mention of it. Once it was time for our windows to be installed it took nearly a month from start to finish to complete the job after we were told it'd take 2-3 days tops. (We do understand some of the hold up was on us with the electrical switch, but it was still irritating either way.) I had multiple contractors in my house off and on, none of them the same, none of them knew what the others were doing... some of them even down right rude! I had 2 new windows built and placed in our master bedroom, I asked the guys if they had a tarp to cover my bed with since I couldn't move that out of the room and while they did lay something down on the bed it was filthy and they may as well have not had anything on it at all. The biggest upset was when they didn't even cut the holes where they were supposed to for said new windows! There were clear markings on the walls for them and they never gave no reason as to why they decided to move them for me... but one of them is a whole 4" further to the left than it should be. (They actually never even told me they were leaving for the day!)After said job was 'finished' the guys that were here "cleaned" after themselves... leaving me with actual heaps of insulation under my bed and other large bits of plastic.. but, "champion leaves a place cleaner than they found it." (Yeah. Right.)On top of all of this, they didn't actually finish the job. We had to call the company to complain and get someone to come back out here and re-mud around the windows and install stools. The cherry on top of this whole situation was probably the fact that after speaking with Champion about the electrical switch the person we spoke with said that they would half the cost of the removal of the switch as an apology for the misunderstanding. It wound up costing a bit more than anticipated for various reasons, and when it came time for Champion to pay for their half they declined and said they no longer could hold up their end of that small nicety we were hoping for.I can not stress enough to shop for your windows elsewhere! Don't be swindled out of thousands of dollars by this poorly operated company like my family was! I will NEVER use Champion again, nor will anyone that I know.
We had a very bad experience with these folks. Except for the installer/builder I could not even rate one star. Starting with the salesman who over promised things like a finished floor, removal of a concrete pad and the start date. I truly don’t think he knew what he was selling. They were over 30 days late for the start of my sunroom. This is no big deal except when you make this big of a purchase you want the thing now. Once started, the installer was great and did an excellent job. Finishing was another story. “We don’t do floors”, was the answer to my quire on the floor. Unfinished underlayment is not my idea of a quality job. I expected more from Champion. Here again the salesman fell short. The original quote called for a 6-foot deck, suitable for a grill, off the door and a step down to the grade landing. Well, the 6 foot would have placed the railing right in the middle of the door. No one thought..... Getting that extra foot was a chore. Champion finally agreed at no additional cost. The room was built on a raised deck to match the elevation of my back door. This left an exposed under area that needed to be enclosed to keep animals out and make the project look good. I was quoted $950 for this skirting which I turned down. A lot of money for a small job. In the end I think they pulled the installer a day early. The cleanup of the site was minimal. Landscaping was not returned to a preconstruction look. They left piles of rock that I specifically asked to be moved laying where they dug them up. A large electrical conduit that I had used to run a hot tub was left partially buried by the landing concrete and strung all over the landscape. Additionally, there were sone minor electrical raceway finishing touches that needed attention. It's the little things that I thought Champion stood for. Over the course of this build they fired the salesman and the construction manager. Probably a good move. I was now dealing with a regional guy who, with a little understanding and probably two hours of labor, would have made me a happy camper. Instead, I was forced to call repeatedly to get my project closed out. Finally, the regional guy came back with a quote of $2,500 to move the rocks, conduit and install the skirting. I was not happy. I learned today that the building permit is still open and awaiting final inspection. This is from FEBURARY! Not what I expected from Champion!
My grandmother and I received our final windows and they are indeed Champions. They are so gorgeous, well constructed, and easy to clean. The installers were the same young gentlemen for our 1st installation, and as always they were well mannered, early, and answered all our questions well. The two gentlemen I am referring to are Jose and Francisco they are absolute masters at their craft. Champion Windows have two brilliant gems for employees. Also, last but not least the sales guy Erik was well attentive and nice and well mannered as always. Overall champion windows have great intellectual industrious employees. Champion Windows is a great company who lives up to their company name. They are true champions in the home improvement business.
