We had the most comprehensive insurance…

We had the most comprehensive insurance on a very expensive safari thru road scholar and AON refused the claim which was in their own terms legitimate. There is no independent review of contested final decision. Their license should be revoked and I would give them a zero if possible

Once again I send the same info to you. It has now been 5 months

Once again, here is the claim #. You will note it hasn't changed on any of the previous emails I have sent to you! #3483608. As I told you before, YOU connect AA if you want the engineering report on the part that caused the aircraft to go 'out of service'. Once again, here is the AA reference number. AARef#1-38470994157

Zero stars if it was possible

Zero stars if it was possible! I was involved in a car accident the day prior to leaving to get to my hotel that I booked through Expedia. I went on the app and canceled my hotel because my car was unable to be driven. One of the options was to add insurance through AON that would be my biggest mistake. I purchased the insurance thinking it was going to help me cover the cost of the hotel room. I was unable to get to due to circumstances beyond my control. I submitted my claim and was told that I was not getting a refund due to the fact that I purchased the insurance after the accident. If the insurance isn’t going to cover it then why was it an option for me to purchase it? I will never use this company again and I wouldn’t recommend anybody else use it either. I requested my claim be reopened and when I received my call back, I was met with an extremely rude claims adjuster Laura Haven that ended up hanging up on me before completing our conversation. she had no empathy. She had no compassion. She was completely rude. I would not want anyone else to be treated the way I was. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and will continue to post my negative reviews so no other people have to go through what I have.

I gave this company a 1 because zero is…

I gave this company a 1 because zero is not a choice. Bought the insurance, canceled the stay, spent an hour gathering and scanning documentation required to file the claim just to be told my reason for cancelling was not covered. What a JOKE!

I purchased Travel Insurance for my Norwegian Cruise and can't get my refund

I booked my Cruise with Norwegian and added the Travel Insurance for my Family. I was told if I needed to cancel for an reason, I would be able to get a full refund. Norwegian uses AON Travel and it am getting nothing but a run around trying to get my refund for my son that isn't able to make the trip. What is the purpose of paying for this extra Insurance if you can't use it. Also I do not like speaking to people in another country if they don't speak good English.

One star

One star. Like so many others I'd give them zero if it was possible. We had a medical emergency of which my family had to disembark day 3 of a 7 day cruise on Carnival. They initially denied it stating it was a trip interruption. We filed paperwork from Dr's, flights, cruise itinerary, EOB from insurance, surgery bills etc...five...times. filed it five times. And they still are fighting us. They call during odd hours 5am or 10pm and "if" They leave a voicemail, there isn't a call back number. You can't call the number they called you from either. It's a number that doesn't receive calls. I talked with maybe one person who was kind and seemed to want to try to review our claim. Do NOT use this company.

This is the worst company i have ever…

This is the worst company i have ever dealt with. Gave me the run around. Denied claim because they said didn’t get records they needed. Which is a lie. My doctors sent me what they sent and I sent it also. Had emergency back surgery 1 month prior to cruise departure. Then came back and denied it because it was within 60 days of departure. It was extremely hard to understand customer service rep and claims rep. Said they would call you back and never did. If there was a way to give a worse rating I would.

This insurance company is terrible

This insurance company is terrible. My wife had a gallstone imbedded in her pancreas during a Celebrity cruise. The pancreatitis pain was immense. The cruise ship doctor administered morphine every four hours until we could get to the closest port of Bimini. Finally, the nurses came and she was airlifted to Fort Lauderdale. Our policy had $50K coverage and AON agreed to pay only $20K of our $81K bill. AON is worthless. Don't waste your money. If Celebrity offers AON when you book, don't purchase. Go with another more reputable travel insurance company and pay them for the cruise dates. This claim, considering the immense medical emergency, should have paid the full $50K. AON is terrible we are appalled they made up a reason to pay less than half of policy limits.

Our experience with AON travel…was less than desirable.

Our experience with AON travel insurance was extremely frustrating!  It appears there is no communication between those determining the outcome, nor does anyone ever sign the emails.  We purchased travel insurance and needed to cancel the trip due to medical reasons, with doctor documentation, 3-4 weeks prior to the cruise.  While waiting for a refund, I received emails telling me we were not eligible, asking for additional documentation, stating we would receive a partial credit for a future cruise, and then stating we would receive a partial refund.  All of this was done through email.  I received a phone call from someone named Shirell while I was in hospital with my husband, asking for a return call.  I called her back multiple times leaving messages always reaching VM!  I finally told them that I would go to my local 'on your side' TV station and/or my state AG if need be, if a full refund is not forthcoming.  I did eventually receive the refund, but not without a great deal of effort and many days of frustration and angst.  Never again AON for us!

Bas Business Practices

I’m actually rating zero stars. I’ve filed a claim and of course AON wants a Medicare denial of claim (EOB) before they pay out, which I believe they will stall for as long as possible. This insurance company knows that if a Dr. is not enrolled in Medicare, charges are not covered through Medicare. Especially when they can’t provide an NPI (National Provider Identifier) which Medicare and all insurances require. They also know that flag ships are international and their doctors don’t fall under the US jurisdiction of Medicare. Isn’t that why travel insurance is purchased?! And why would reputable cruise lines like “OCEANIA” use a company like AON? Is there a government agency that could help with AON’s business practices? If so, I would like to know.
