I bought a voucher for a holiday priced at £99 for my desired date. After purchasing, I called the company to make the booking, only to be told the price had increased to £189. They insisted that if I wanted to book, I would need to pay an additional £90 per person, disregarding the original price I had agreed upon. They essentially said that if I didn't pay the extra amount, I would lose my initial payment and not receive a holiday. I've been trying to reach out to the company for five days through WhatsApp, which is their only contact method. They replied on the first day, offering a different date for an added cost of £60 per person. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with that offer, they stopped responding. They refuse to address the issue and have kept my money. I plan to escalate this matter to the financial ombudsman.
I submitted a refund request and received a response from the company on December 2nd, stating that everything was sorted and I should wait 3-5 days for the refund. As of tomorrow, December 12th, I'm still waiting. While it's just £5.99, it’s the principle of the matter. This is not satisfactory. I did receive a £3.99 refund for the delivery, but not for the item itself.
I want to buy 6 large white radiator covers, but I'm facing a major issue with the delivery costs. The delivery fee is listed at £11.99, yet it's being multiplied by the number of covers, resulting in a total of £71.94 for shipping. If this can be fixed, I’m ready to make the purchase, but otherwise, I won't proceed. Previously, I encountered a similar problem where the wrong items were sent, and instead of receiving the correct ones at no extra cost, I was just refunded. The response from the support team simply reiterated the obvious about their delivery charges, which is why I'm expressing my frustration now. This company is truly disappointing, and I can't recommend it to anyone!
I have an account with the service, but I mistakenly signed in and made a purchase using my Apple ID. My Apple ID is associated with a secure email that doesn't accept messages from non-secure sources, including the service. I received a credit of £44.99 in my account, but since I can't verify it and likely never will, I can't access the credit or get my money back. I feel like I'm just going in circles on WhatsApp. I keep getting messages stating they've sent a new verification link, despite informing them my email can't receive messages from them. Additionally, there are many generic responses advising me to log in or try accessing my account on a laptop. At one point, a refund was offered, which I accepted, but then the next message simply instructed me to change my email address in the account (which I would do if I could). Now, I'm left feeling that the service has my money and will keep the £44.99 come March when the credit expires. It's a frustrating situation, and I can't afford to lose this money.
The platform still refuses to take responsibility for selling me a defective bed through a third party. Despite being the facilitator of my order, they are not addressing my request for a refund. Their only response has been about contacting the merchant and allowing 72 hours for a reply, which has already happened. Now, I am waiting for them to arrange the pickup of the bed and handle the return costs as per consumer rights legislation.
I'm frustrated with the way the service operates. It seems like they use the appeal of a popular brand to draw customers in with a low-priced item, but the process is very confusing. You select a color and size, pay by card, and then it gets messy. As mentioned in previous feedback, I felt uncertain about whether I actually purchased the item. There's a looming deadline to cancel, and I received no confirmation email, leaving me in a state of confusion. Overall, it's quite disappointing.
Received a response from the company instructing me to take the bed to a location for either repair or replacement. According to section 20(8) of the consumer rights act, when a consumer rejects defective goods, the seller is responsible for the reasonable costs of returning the item, meaning they should arrange for pickup. I have photos showing where the beds were made and stored; the mattresses are in a lean-to, and all the wood for the bases has been left out in the rain, which likely caused my bed to collapse. I'm trying to upload the photos, but for some reason, it won't work. If you could see them, you would never consider buying from this seller, even if the price was as low as £5.
The service failed to return my call as promised to organize a holiday purchased through a third-party platform. They later confirmed the trip with absurd flight schedules involving two different airports, which would leave no time to enjoy the hotel as advertised. I would have incurred additional costs just to travel to a different airport to pick up the rental car. Had I known all this information before making the purchase, I definitely would have reconsidered. None of these details were available at the time of buying, despite regulations requiring transparency. I requested a refund, but the service directed me back to the third-party platform. After multiple messages, they finally agreed to issue a refund as a goodwill gesture, but I am still waiting.
I never seem to learn! Every time I use the service, something goes wrong. Recently, I bought a voucher and later noticed an additional charge of £4.98 on my PayPal. I didn’t request any extra service or voucher, and the delivery fee of £3.99 was paid directly to the company I ordered from. When I reached out to the support team, I was informed about various charges: - The Voucher Validity Extension is only available for selected deals and its price increases as the expiry date approaches, but this is mentioned in the 'My Vouchers' section.
- The Protect My Voucher option is also limited to specific deals at the time of purchase. I questioned why I would need an extension if I intended to use the voucher right away. Additionally, I still can't figure out the purpose of the second charge. It seems these details were buried in fine print, possibly requiring an opt-out. I didn't even notice the extra charge until I checked my PayPal. When I contacted the service again, I was told that once a voucher is used, no refunds are possible. My worry is about how many others are experiencing this. They seem to be adding charges without clear visibility during the checkout process. I urge everyone to thoroughly read all the fine print, as there is a lot to go through. It feels like they conceal important information in plain sight, filled with jargon that’s easy to overlook.
They continually withdraw small amounts from my account without my consent, and I have received nothing in return. Attempting to recover my funds has been a frustrating experience, as the website is confusing and difficult to navigate, constantly shifting between different screens. I just want to have my account closed.
